The Right Show: Advise From The Right Podiatrist

Choosing a shoe or boot is often difficult to do. Here are some tips to help you make the best choice. First of all, you have to know that shape is very important. It must match the shape of your foot. If you have onions or hammer toes, opt for soft material or leather and avoid seams that stiffen the material where you need a little more space.

The Areas of Complication

By removing your shoes or boots, if you have red areas on your toes or on either side of your feet it is a sign that what you are wearing may be too narrow or not deep enough.

If you wear orthotics make sure that the false sole is removed properly.

For a good support of your ankle, it is necessary to make sure that the shoe, as much as the boot are rigid. The sole should not bend easily and the back should not be easily crushed between thumb and forefinger. Ballerina type shoes are not good shoes, they are too flexible.

For ladies, the fine heels do not bring good stability. It is better to opt for a full heel or a wedge.

Preferences

Prefer a shoe or boot with a small heel, between 3/4 inch and 1ΒΌ inch. If you choose a higher model, the pressure increases in the front of your foot and may cause injury.

Synthetic materials are to be avoided. They keep the humidity. The boots must be warm, of course. Avoid too thin soles that do not cut the cold. Choose from thick, non-slip rubber. Opt for wool or thermolite liners.

Make sure your choice is water repellent to stay dry.
