Podiatrist Appointment
Today I went to go see the podiatrist. It took less than 5 minutes for the whole meeting. He came in, wrote out a script for custom orthopedic insoles and cream for my calluses. They took some quick X-rays of my foot and I was done. I have to call my health insurance for the insoles, since if I get it done there it's going to cost me $300 or so (that's what the doctor said) so I would rather go through the insurance and get them cheaper. I have flat feet that turn out, and I just have a lot of general foot problems, so I'm glad that all I have to do is get some insoles, not something drastic like surgery. I was kinda anxious going into it, wondering what I was going to need done, so it's good to have that stress gone. I think it kept me up last night. I had to take klonopin, and even that didn't put me to sleep for an hour and a half.
It's hard for me to fall asleep when I have to be up the next day, but easy for me to fall asleep when there is nothing the next day. I think it has to do with stress and anticipation. I worry that I didn't set my alarm, that I'm not going to hear my alarm, things of that nature. I just fixed my alarm that I set today- I didn't hear it for a minute and I could have slept through it but got lucky. So I changed the song (it's my cell phone alarm) and made it louder. Hopefully I can sleep tomorrow night when I have therapy on Thursday morning. I tend to wake up early before therapy before my alarm goes off so I can shower and have my coffee in peace. I have time for that stuff with the time I set my alarm for, but I always wake up early anyway. I think that's why I woke up today- not that my alarm woke me, but that I knew it was time to get up. I woke up a few times before my alarm went off, but luckily I was able to go back to sleep fine.
I've been drinking a lot of water and I've been peeing a lot because of it, but I'm trying to flush out my body of all the stuff that's in it. Plus it's really hot here in Miami and I sweat a lot, so I need to drink a lot. Tomorrow I weigh myself, and I don't want all the salt I ate today to make me weigh more. I did get probably 10,000 steps today.. I reset my pedometer in towards the end by pushing the wrong button, but I had done like 7,000 steps by then. I know it's 2500 from the bus to my apartment, so that's only 500 away from 10,000 and then add on the stuff I did around the house and I know I was over 10,000 today. I'm going to try again on Thursday when I go see my therapist to walk a lot. My weight has been going down, so I should be content with that. It's not going down as fast as I would like, but it's heading in the right direction.
Stress- this gets it's own paragraph today. Trying to fall asleep when I have an appointment the next day is a stress for me. Tomorrow is the last day we can do anything about the car, and we are not going to. I know that's going to be on my mind tonight. I want to do something about it, but Geo says to leave it alone, and it's his car. Well, it won't be after tomorrow, but still. I say at least give them the title so it doesn't have as much debt against him. I will probably wake up tomorrow and call them one last time. I don't know. I'm just so stressed about this! I really am. I'm afraid that they are going to put a lien on his license and he won't be able to register the new car when we get it. Okay, I looked it up, they can't put a lien on his license, so that's good. I swear, what did we do before Google? Stress and worry all night? I know that's what I would be doing.
Mood/Sleep/Food- Mood is good, sleep I talked about above (about 8 hours plus a 2 hour nap) and food- I had a lot of chicken and rice soup today, and then some Velvetta shells and cheese for lunch. I ate a lot of chicken soup, but I like chicken soup. I had some ice cream at the end of the day for a treat.
