Pocket dialed
Last night I was thinking of me ex and at that moment received a call from him. Of course, with hope in my heart I texted him and told him I thought he accidentally called me. He texted back and said it was a "pocket dial". This crushed me. I'm wondering if it really was...my heart is still hurting.
On another note, my car battery went south and I've been stuck at the house. My " roommate" came home from visiting his mother and I've decided today I will solve the problem like I would if there were no man around. I'll watch YouTube to remove the battery and get an Uber down to the auto parts store and get a new battery and install it myself. I've got to stop relying on people. I've found once I start relying on people I usually regret it in the end.

Yay you for taking the step toward independence. Do that do! ! ! These days I am rescuing more boy carbarians than girl carbarians from their own automotive ignorance. 'Tis not a good age to be a damsel in distress. 21st century knights are nearly the equals of damsels in the distress department.

Congrats to you for taking care of things yourself!
I went through something similar. About 3 years ago, I met a lady here and we talked every day on skype. Had all kinds of conversations about anything and everything imaginable and then one day I check my skype and there was no message. It seemed like she was weaning herself off from me because the messages stopped coming every day. She would say she was busy with friends or with work and then nothing. I check skype every day just out of habit but haven't heard from this lady since before Thanksgiving of last year. I need to stop checking because it's a waste of my time but there is a part of me that just wants to have that connection with someone I got to know quite well. Not today though! Already checked.
I find that You tube is a great place to get information on how to fix cars. I have watched many tutorials in the past. Don't you feel a great deal of personal satisfaction having done the job yourself? I sure do!
God Bless
I can't seem to stop checking my email or text. It's been weeks now and I figure it was just a way to upset me. It did, but I'm over it.
I think I just need to find things to keep myself busy as well as getting back into counseling now that my insurance has kicked in.
It's easy to become emotionally reliable on someone to be there. I have a friend I met from Wisconsin on here I met almost a year ago and we talk daily, but I know it could stop. I'd be devastated, hence the urgency to find something to be busy at. I am so thankful it was just the battery, I thought perhaps it might be the alternator but luckily no. Big expense averted. But it did make me think.I need to get a side gig and start saving more money in case something big occurs.
