Please pray for my mom!

I'm asking everyone who reads this to please pray for my mother.  She's in the hospital right now with some unknown "condition".  The doctors are running tests on her as I type this entry.  About a month ago my mom had 2 sores form on her toes on her left foot.  One sore was from where she stubbed her toe on a wooden plank.  She believes the other sore might be from a spider bite.  My mom refused to go to a doctor with the problem until the swelling and pain got so severe that she could barely walk.  When she went to a doctor yesterday, he sent her straight to the hospital and had her admitted for testing and observation.  The doctors say that she might have a bad infection, or it could be a bone infection or a blood clot.  You know how bad blood clots can be.  If it is a bone infection, my mom will have to have part of the bone removed, including the amputation of 1 or 2 of her toes.  Please pray for the best possible case scenario!!!  Her blood sugar level was very high, too.  She's never had sugar problems before.
But, like they say, there is a good side to everything.  (This is a small, one-story hospital, no elevators and no landing pads for aircraft!)  While Tim and I were at the hospital yesterday evening, my sister-in-law and one of my nieces came, too (the 9 year old niece that launches a softball like a rocket-propelled grenade).  While we were there, an announcement was made that a life-flight helicopter was coming in and that all persons parked in a certain area of the parking lot needed to go move their vehicles.  Well, guess who parked in a certain area and had to move their cars ----- yeah, my sister-in-law and I.  After we moved our cars, I asked my niece if she wanted to go watch the helicopter.  She was all for it -- she had her phone with her to take photos!!!  We watched, from about 25 yards away, as they stabilized the patient and moved him from the ambulance to the helicopter.  When the helicopter took off and the wind from the rotor blades was blowing her pretty blonde hair loose from it's ponytail, my niece told me that she had never been that close to a helicopter before and that she had never seen one take off.  Did grandma let herself get sick just so granddaughter could see a helicopter?????   I wouldn't put it past her!!!  LOL.
I've been crashy and busy for the last few days, but I'll try to catch up on everyone's journals today and tomorrow.  Seems like we all have so many things going on and so many things going wrong.  But, we all draw strength from an all-powerful, unseen source and push on!  Thank you, again, in advance for your prayers.

Is your mom Diabetic??? First thing that came to my mind with high sugar and open foot sores!! Goodness, Nancy, I\'m sure you\'re very upset. I\'m so sorry your mom has to go through this. The thought of amputation of toes is just so awful.

I will absolutely pray for your mom!! I hope that this is something treatable without the need for any kind of he Lord knows all about it already!! He will be with her.
