Please pray...and accept my apology
Dear DS friends...
My mom is having open heart surgery tomorrow. They are going to replace her aortic valve and fix an aortic aneurism. I know that God is in control but I feel very emotional. She is the sweetest mom in the world. I am not sure what I would do without her! The surgery will last almost all day so please pray for her and for her surgeon. They will begin at 6 a.m. Also, please pray for my daddy. He is so sweet and it's hard to watch him through this. He seems so vulnerable...and that's never been a word I've used to describe him. Dad's can take care of everything...can't they? I put a picture of my mom and me as my profile pic so you can see who you're praying for. She's 73 and never dyed her hair so she was joking that it will probably turn white after the surgery. My daughters are both very close to my parents. My youngest, Hollie, called me crying a little while ago. She's pregnant so that may be making her even more sensitive. Her baby girl, Hadleigh, is 3 and asked her why she was crying. Hollie told her that she was sad because Grandma Sue had to go to the doctor. Hadleigh hugged her and said, "Don't worry, Mom. She doesn't know where God lives!" Funny how kids perceive what we say to them. I know she's been told her Beepaw went to live with Jesus...I guess Beepaw went because he knew God's address... :)
I want to apologize to those of you who have written or made comments that I haven't responded to. I have had my mind on so much and haven't meant to be uncaring or rude. I appreciate you all and plan to respond to every comment when this surgery is over. Well, I need to go to bed!
Thank you for being my friends...

Jeannie,
Prayers for your mom as she undergoes surgery and then goes through her recovery process. Also for all your family. I know it\'s difficult having to stand by as our loved ones are vulnerable and ill. I pray for strength and courage for all involved. Hugs, Amy
Will be in prayer for all involved.

Jeannie,
I pray that your mom will come through surgery well and that the doctors will be guided by the hand of the Great Physician. It is lovely to read of such a wonderful relationship between daughter and parents. You have been truly blessed. Prayers going up. TJ
I will be praying.
Hugs
Christine

Thank you all so much!!! My mom is recovery nicely and will be moved out of ICU on Sunday. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!! I am so thankful that God has taken such great care of her. My mom loves the Lord so much. When my 4 year old grand-daughter heard that her Grandma Sue had surgery on her heart she got so excited! She said, \"Ohhh!!!! The doctor got to see God!!!!!\" :)
