Please pray
Hi everyone,
I am writing to ask prayers for my co-worker Jill's husband Matt. Matt is a devoted husband and father. He is 36 years old & last July was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis. He has been hospitalized at Mass General Hospital since then. Recently the doctors realized that Matt has a second autoimmune disease called Degos. These diseases are attacking his intestines and connective tissue from what I understand. He cannot eat, drink or swallow but he is fully aware and concious that he is locked in his own body. Jill has told us that once these 2 diseases stike the intestines as they have with Matt, the doctors tell her that he will not survive. Since July Matt has survived many infections & even pneumonia but the doctors do not think he will survive much longer. He had not been in much pain prior but now is in pain from what I understand. Please pray for Matt to have a gentle transition to Heaven and for relief of his pain and for Jill, their children - a daughter 5 years old and a son 3 years old and for his parents who have been at his side everyday since July along with Jill. Jill has worked only a few hours a week since July as she has been devoted to Matt and we all support her as she takes care of him.
My heart breaks for this young man and his family. His mom will be on this journey with us soon and we all know how excruciating the first months are. I have asked Ed to greet Matt. Matt is about the same age as Ed was was he died....

Dear Heavenly Father, If Matt cannot be in this world any longer, please bring him home on the wings of your angels and encompass him in Your divine love. Please relieve his pain right away. He has been through so much and has fought so hard. Please comfort Jill, their children, his mom and dad and his siblings. If you will, please allow Ed to greet him..In Jesus name I humbly pray..

A very sad story indeed. I do pray for a miracle...either to heal him completely or to give him rest in the arms of Jesus forever. I hope you keep us updated. I do pray for the strength of God for his loving family. Peace....dale, brandon\'s mom

Linda, I have Matt, Jill and their family in my prayers....and his parents who are about to face the saddest loss of their life. So sad to hear this, but I am praying for peace and comfort for all of them. Hugs, Kim
I WILL SAY A PRAYER FOR MATT. THAT POOR YOUNG MAN AND HIS FAMILY. MY DAUGHTER ALSO HAD AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE LUPUS PLUS DISCOID LUPUS SHE WAS ONLY 28 13 YEARS. SHE SUFFERED . GOD BE WITH MATT AND HIS WIFE AND KIDS AND FAMILY LOVE MARY ANN
