Plantar Fasciitis w/Heel Spurs: A Tedious Thing
Entering the 19th week of having of this - wow - my health care provider wasn't kidding when he said recovery can take up to a year! My physiotherapy ended after 6 sessions of ETPS during the 2nd week of April and it seems to be not that bad now. I wear my shoes with orthodics all the time now, still ice my feet after I use them for an extended period of time (walking). I am able to walk in to work (finally) but only every other day and I persist with strengthening exercises (which seem like a breeze now - but when I first started I could barely make my feet move).
Lesson learned - maintain your foot strength - even if you wear orthodics - don't rely solely on them - you have to maintain your foot muscles like any other part of the body (funny how some doctors, physiotherapists, and even podiatrists don't mention this at all and I've consulted them all).
