Planning My Day With No Plan on How to Make a Plan

Aside from feeding my pets and myself, and keeping doctor appointments, the rest is up in the air. My desktop computer had become a doorstop many months ago. This week I got it running again. I can stream jazz now, no more Ten Songs That Will Bless You, over the radio. I also got my company can from the garbageman. They sent a special truck to deliver it last fall. Got a better car too, and sold the old one for 400 bucks.
My life has settled into a kind of uniform no-man's-land with a flat landscape, which is fine, I don't have the motivation to make changes yet. Hills and valleys aren't necessary right now. If I hear one more person say, "Get out of your comfort zone", I think I will scream. Why would I do that? Instead of finding peace, I should go looking for trouble? That stupid cliche ought to be removed from the English language. What a dumb thing to tell people. I've seen people out of their comfort zone. It usually involves ten cops standing around watching one guy getting handcuffed. Yes I saw that this week, the cops looked pretty comfortable. Yep they were definitely in their zone. I was at the pharmacy when I heard what the guy did. Lady came in and said he was arrested for selling drugs. Selling drugs! How awful! Excuse me while I pay for my pills. Ugh.

Sara, Sara,
(From beautiful downtown Somerset), I hear you about the comfort zone thing .As for the uninitiated, they have NO idea that, now that we are widowed, we do have to live in our comfort zone because we are now in a world apart from others. We have to do what we are comfortable with and at make changes our own speed. Again, right now they have no idea, but one day they will.

Take care, George

Thanks Sara . :)

I\'ve had a thot or 2, similar. About a time for blah-ness. (Aka peace :) . You\'ve put into better words
than I ever did.

My p-doc years ago.would tell me to be careful sometimes about too much excitement.

BTW a certain Elaine Aron has begun an area of study for \"HSP,\" highly sensitive persons. The Wikipedia article on it is surprisingly good. And a certain Ted....

If Ted is tempermental it doesn\'t show; wherein Dr Aron...well I shouldn\'t say anything.

I\'ve mentioned HSPs a couple times on DS....

tnx for the post -- it was for me fun

I think finding your comfort zone would be better than leaving it. JMHO.
