Plan for Outside Saunas
The sauna was an integral part of our lives from our first memories as a child. It was an outdoor sauna that has been situated about 30 yards behind the home and about 10 meters from the pond we existed on. It had been constructed of Northern bright plank and measured 12 feet by 10 feet in size. It presented a traditional sauna range that was produced in Bruce Crossing Michigan only a little area in Top Peninsula. Our outdoor sauna also had a cool water spicket which was used to load the water bucket in making water, cool downs and for rinsing the sweat off before you went back to the house.
A floor of our outdoor sauna was also forest and was raised about a foot off the ground. Underneath was an opening filled up with stones that could permit the water to drain to t infraroodsauna he soil. We were happy that people did not need the clay earth that a few of our neighbors had which may require a unique drain to remove excess water.
The key reason for having a separate outdoor sauna was because of convention but more importantly to cut back the fire hazard. More than one of our friend's sauna has burned down in the past 40 years. It is exciting that individuals all applied wood to heat our properties but apart from a chimney fire or two nothing of our buddies or neighbors houses burnt down. Some folks have linked the around utilization of alcoholic beverages, still another sauna convention, to the large number of sauna fires. Many times an outdoor sauna stove is permitted to get very hot in planning for the sauna and that's something that individuals seldom allowed with house woodstove.
