Plan for Outside Saunas

The sauna was part of our lives from our first memories as a child. It absolutely was an outside sauna that was positioned about 30 yards behind the house and about 10 yards from the pond we lived on. It had been constructed of Northern white cedar and calculated 12 legs by 10 legs in size. It included a norma  infraroodsauna  l sauna range which was produced in Bruce Crossing Michigan only a little town in Upper Peninsula. Our outside sauna also had a cold water spicket that has been applied to fill the water bucket in making water, cool downs and for rinsing the sweat down when you headed back once again to the house.
A floor of our outdoor sauna was also forest and was raised about a foot off the ground. Underneath was a pit filled up with rocks that would allow the water to drain into the soil. We were fortunate that we did not have the clay soil that some of our neighbors had which would need a particular strain to remove excess water.
The main reason for having a different outside sauna was as a result of convention but most importantly to lessen the fire hazard. Several of our friend's sauna has burnt down in the past 40 years. It's interesting that people all used timber to temperature our houses but aside from a chimney fire or two none of our friends or neighbors domiciles burnt down. Some folks have linked the around use of alcoholic beverages, another sauna convention, to the large number of sauna fires. Many times an outside sauna range is permitted to get hot in planning for the sauna and that is something that people seldom permitted with home woodstove.
