pitiful cats--vs---scumbag people
Today happy to find 3 for a dollar cans of 9lives for the homeless cats I feed. Though I'm also sad that this week to be their last meals from me. I'll put some opened cans and leftover dry food in the adjacent flophouse for them when I leave.
Thankfully, the minor criminals and druggies/drunks became homeless a few years ago, for the adjacent flophouse to become a home for cast away cats. Ten years of me living around the lowest of the low in my hometown is what makes me pity cats, and be angry at some down on their luck people.
The convicted molester who also has a felony charge for owning a gun he shouldn't have is popping up all the place in town anymore; I saw him today in the grocery store on the next street----so that's another omen; after me yelling at him during last winter, when he thought he was gonna order me around, in the building where I live. He's one of many people I'll be glad to get away from.
Walking the main drag yesterday, on way to police station about my landlord, I saw more places in town that are closed---with even the last bar in town not open till 2 in afternoon, which is funny considering all the local drunks.
Landlord giving me a hard time ONLY because he is losing money on me moving, with him having trouble finding anybody decent for his...flophouse; I really didn't want to think of where I live as that, but...
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the landlord badmouthing me last month about me being sober, with him saying I hate the downstairs tenant not because of loud music at night, but because downstairs tenant smokes marijuana! A real twilight zone moment of landlord complaining about a tenant being sober!
Last night, at 6, I could smell the landlord's cigar coming from downstairs loud tenant; there certainly is a possibility that the landlord is getting high downstairs; not the most unusual landlord story.
Omen #3 today: even a 2nd hand store in town is going out of business today; I was in there and overheard that they pay two thousand dollars a month, without utlilities; so now it'll be another long vacant building on main drag. 'Wow; I'm leaving town just in time" I thought to myself.

I am so happy for you regarding your move. Your landlord sounds like such a loser. I am looking forward to hearing about your new place. I expect you may find there could be some strays that need a helping hand near your new place too.
Yes! It sounds like you are getting out of Dodge just in time!. I know you are sad about the kitties...but we can\'t save them all. I long to get into the fostering program at our local shelter but I have to wait either until my 21 year old kitty passes or DH builds me a baby proof room downstairs. I am also looking forward to hearing about your new place. It can\'t be any worse and will likely be SO much better!
thanks, KelleyPaterson.
So far, the landlord hasn\'t hassled me again, though I am worried about that happening on moving day.
Today is 51 degrees outside, so at least the outside cats I\'m feeding are warm enough; last night one was out in the drizzle, with me wiping his back off with a paper towel though my open window.
Hi, TrojanThunder.
21 years for your cat; at least you\'re lucky there; a lot of people probably don\'t believe me when I tell them about my cat living to be 20.
At least with this move, the woman 8 miles away who helped me neuter a outside cat got a dozen bags of good cat litter for free; I gave her all that yesterday. Her mom died just last month, with about 11 thousand dollars lein on the house!
At least no music through cinder block walls at new place; the usual 10 oclock music coming from my ex-bedroom last night.
Yes. Picard is indeed 21! I feel so privileged to have had him with me for so many years.
Nice of you to help the woman. Too bad her Mum had to leave her with a bunch of debt.
I guess we need to count our blessings. A roof over our heads and debt free is mighty fine. I can put up with my mom. I have it good.!
I had a rotten, rich \"slum landlord\" in Philly. He was good-looking, but such an A$$hole! It served him right when I went into a manic psychosis and wrote him obscene propositions. It was no fun being in the psych ward, but I still giggle when I think about the letters I sent him!
