Pitch to FB Group.... I was SLAUGHTERED

I pitched my idea on a NaNoWriMo FB group.... omg... they slaughtered me and let me basically have it... !!! I couldn't believe it. But then again... I did believe it.

I texted my daughter about it and we chatted some. NaNo is a very strange mix of ppl. The type of ppl I am not really associated with much. So in retrospect, I'm not surprised really. I felt very attacked... in other words, I took it personal. But I also did not present the backdrop of the story well, and it was misconstrewed. 

Oh well. I finally just deleted the whole thing and removed myself from the group. I am a member of another group that is smaller... so I took a different approach and pitched it in a different framework. It's not a very active group... so we will see how it goes..... 

I am going to go ahead and do the character sketching and the outline .... i don't write for publication.... i am writing it for mysel and for entertainment of my own mind. So in the long run i do not care.... 

But i had to step back and remember that i am not with ppl that are norm with me. I would meet w/ NaNo ppl 2 years ago but i never did click with them. I never felt like i belonged... and even though i was one of the very very few that actually finished a 50K word novel in the month... i didn't feel accepted. They are highly intellectual. Act overconfident in their intellectual abilities but some of them have very poor social skills and are outcasts from their younger days of HS, etc. They come across as having very low self esteems as well.... So no wonder the idea didn't fly.

So.... there's that.

Ive had a great day. Cooking chicken pot pie for supper. Yum...

It's a cold cloudy day and I'm getting a lot of things done...
