Pissed with RE

So my period is due 4th of March, and I am due to try another FET this month. When we set up my last FET she told me we would do a medicated cycle, I asked why since my cycle is so regular and she said its really just convenience as a natural cycle requires a blood test every day and will likely cover a weekend which means a long drive for me early on a sat and sunday. SHe then said that if it didn't work then we could talk about doing a natural cycle next time.
When I got my BFN, the nurse rang to tell me and just left it that since I have 2 frosties to use I can ring on the next  day of my cycle to try again, no talk of an appointment to discuss the failure or anything.
So once id come to terms with the BFN and decided to wait a month and try again in March I rang up to ask about medicated versus natural FET, the nurse said that it was purely based on convenience, well f88cking IVF is inconvenient!!! I don't care about inconvenience I care about having a baby!!
They said it was up to me!! I told them I would feel better if they ran it by my actual doctor so she said she would but not til Wednesday (19th) I heard nothing so I rang back and she said...the dr has approved a natural or medicated cycle and I should just let them know on day one of my cycle.
Day one is fast approaching and I have no idea what to do, what if my cycles not as regular asI think, what if my lining is no good on my own?? What if I do it medicated and it fails will I wish id tried natural??
SO I directly emailed my doctor on Wednesday (26th) to ask for her professional opinion on what Is best for me?? No reply!!! SO I have called and left a message with the nurses again today to say my day one is nearly here and I have no Idea what to do.. WHY are they so blasé about it all, this is so important and its like it doesn't matter to anyone else!! Theres no point in telling DH because basically he doesn't understand any of it and would just get shitty with me for going on!
Im sure the RE should be making the call on whether I go medicated or not??? Argghh, I just don't wanna waste any chances!

Sometimes these doctors and staff are so numb to all of this and they act like real assholes. If I were you I would just stick with medicated because it does not seem they really have a protocal without meds since they are acting so stupid about it. Sorry hon :(

I\'m sorry you are having issues with your doctor and nurse. I fell like the doctor should tell you their honest opinion on what you should do. I hope you hear back from them soon and good luck on your decision!

I have never done a non medicated FET and I have very regular cycles. If it were me I would stick with medicated, just so you know you are getting enough progesterone and estrogen to support a pregnancy.

I think AliCat on here did both you might want to reach out to her and see what she says.

Good luck!

If it were me I\'d stick with the medicated. You don\'t want to risk having ovulated and they miss the window. I think it\'s too much guessing and the dr has to be very precise... which could leave more room for error. I think with a medicated cycle you have more control over your body.

Thanks guys, I spoke with a really nice nurse today since I had to call with my day one, and she said its all down to the convenience and that theres no worry of my hormones not working since they will cancel if everythings not perfect (like that\'s fine!?!) However she then went on to say that they do not give progesterone to support the early pregnancy in a natural cycle, which swung me toward medicated. Then I thought about how busy I am at work covering my bosses job and decided being able to schedule appointments would be a big bonus so....medicated it is!!

Oh goodness! I would be so mad! Sometimes I think nurses and REs are insensitive. Some really don\'t know how much a girl has emotionally invested in IVF. I literally laughed out loud with your comment, \"f@@$ing IVF is inconvenient.\" How true that is.:-) Anyway, so sorry about being given the run around. :-( Are your embies day 3 or day 5?

Omg how frustrating! I would have totally lost my shit. Glad you were able to finally talk to a decent nurse and make a decision :)

How annoying! As if this whole process is not confusing enough. I\'m happy you got in contact with a nice nurse and you found a way to make a good decision for what is best for you. Good luck with your upcoming cycle!

How annoying, I hate when DR\'s say it\'s up to you, I always want to ask them \"then what in the hell am I paying you for!\" Glad someone actually got back to you with some good information and good luck with your medicates cycle! XO
