Picking up the Pieces.
I think one of the most frustrating things about migraine is coming back to your life after haveing to abandon it for days. I am honestly dreading emailing three proffessors to make sure I am caught up. One of them already has my "preexisting condition" paperwork and now I have to send it to two more.
My mom reassures me that I have nothing to be ashamed of, that I should let them know why I was absent but that I have nothing to apologize for, I just cant really get over my frustration. I have been doing this more and more lately as the frequency and severity seem to worsen and I am at my wits end.
Meanwhile, I may need a new Neurologist. I called her office monday afternoon and strait up asked for steroids to break the cycle...instead a prescription I got a call back the next day and questions. They actually got snotty with me about missing a call back, and I told them that I was finally getting some sleep which was a good thing, and that certainly perscriptions could have been called in whithout calling me again. Finally percriptions are called in today, still processing, after the migraine already broke on its own!
I have an appointment coming up and I will be adressing this. I intend to let her know that I don't call her unless I am completely down and need help quickly. If she had called in the steriods monday night I could have possibly had at least half of yesterday, I could have made it to at least one class. If she does not seem to understand this and be willing to work out a more helpful plan for the future I will be moving on.
