picked up live potted tree//put up both wreathes//20 pound cat

in florida they sell potted italian stone pine trees with flocking or potted island pine which is larger (i think it was called).  they are the same price.  the italian one is much smaller, though that is the one i chose.  it will be up north and then planted at the new house and if the tree survives all that, used as the front yard christmas tree with lights during christmas season.
i am trying to price tye dye rainbow christmas trees for inside and only found ONE on line for $95.  hoping michael's art store might have them?  its very cold out, 41 degrees right now.  one of the guys at work is sick.  i told him to try that natural thing, a full large can of pineapple chunks and its juice is supposed to work better than cough medicine.  i tried it and mine was gone the same day.
so many people aren't decorating this year.  even at work, they haven't put up lights since 2005 and the banner that is usually up over the main entrance hasn't been put up since 2007.  there is still a tree and then a fake charity tree like they have in the malls with info on illnesses that people have and donations for children and all that.
also looking at santa flamingos, which i love.  the real site for that is closed until 2015.  i did order tickets to tour the whitehouse.  so lets see how that goes.
received a bunch of prank calls from a foreign person stating he is from the irs.  i looked the number up and there are lots of complaints on it.  the call comes from seattle, washington.  if he calls again the number to give him is 202-224-3121 (which is the white house offices.  lol.  that might take care of the pranks quickly).
finally met adrian at the clinic who supposedly is similar to me.  she's very professional.  they are lucky to have her as generally animal places don't get a lot of professionals.  joan was also like that, but she is gone now too, so many troubles in arizona and florida for her and her husband, she used to do title work, and then got skin cancer on her nose from sun poisoning as a kid.  wth?  like c, she said every time they bought a house they sold at a loss.  not good.  right now she can refi an upsidedown mortgage on a house at a super-low interest rate and if she does that on a 15 year mortgage she will be caught up in 7 years (even with the market as it is now, which is 50 percent of value of what she paid originally).  so sad, how many people bought high and did themselves in, in the passed ten years, but who knew.
the woman down the street from rn had a heart attack and can't go to the specialist that she chose because obamacare is like an hmo and many doctors don't accept it?   the woman is 38.   similar to mary's daughter, who married again in 2013, even though she is permanently ill - lupus i think she said and something else.  her new husband has the same disorder, that is how they met.  i think stress causes all disease.  she went from being an executive for xerx, to trying to stay home and do nothing, to then looking for ANY mindless job because staying home makes her nuts, (she also has 3 teenagers so that could be part of it.  lol.), but she doesn't want a job where she has to think at all either - those days are gone.  at least she made good use of those days when her brain was still functioning.
this year's "jeweled garland" which is what i always buy, so i don't have to add ornaments, is gold bells.  love them.  i need a tree topper for it.  have wreaths up at both houses and need another for the new house.
used adam's spray on the dogs which some say not to use and rn says she still uses.  it made me nauceous when i got it on my hands.  the larger of the two, only lets me put it on with my hands and the little one, lets the spray go right on.  frontline didn't work for them.  i need to give the animals dewormer and m gave me a generic revolution to try on two of the kittens.  they mostly use capstar over there.
one of rn's that was fixed had cryptorchid (which means the balls were inside the animal's body and they have to do bigger surgery on it.  also explains why she didn't know if it was male or female).  m sent over the biggest cat i have ever seen, its "20 pounds" or 17.  didn't weigh it yet.  its declawed.  and twice the size of the rest of the animals.  its a gentle giant.  gets along with dogs and is hiding.  i put it in the room where there is no hiding.  it left and hid in the corner of the other room.  and now, who knows.  need to stop doing that and go back to releasing in stages.
rn suggested we call the owner who is pregnant and needs allegra to have pets - but can't take it while pregnant, and see if she wants it back in 6 months when she is not pregnant?  never thought of that.  they were going to kill it for being large, shy and over the age of five.  grrrrr.  it also has a large head and neck, which means it was fixed after the age of 3.  don't understand how its declawed then?  almost don't want to know because declawing over the age of 6 months isn't recommended.  poor thing.  wish he would come back out, i want to see if he'll let me pick him up.  lol.  he's bigger than the dogs and bigger than a bengal.
older animals get traumatized very quickly.  if the real owner doesn't want it back was going to advertise it as very large cat for very large person.

Never heard that cure for a cold! Sounds good though...makes sense! It\'s like a megadose of Vitamin C! Not a bad idea when you have a cold!

I love garland. We use it all the time. My husband prefers tinsel on a tree! You can\'t do both, so we kind of alternate. This year, since he\'s had a rough go, I just went out and bought tinsel! HE WINS! LOL! Tinsel is ok, but I worry about our cat eating it. I know it\'s dangerous. PLUS tinsel gets messy after a few days. Our heater blows in the direction of the tree and the tinself gets wound around itself ! ! Blech!!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and get all the trimmings you want for your tree! xo

you too darla. didn\'t even know that about tinsel and i should know that. have to remember to add that to the cat handbook. seriously.

the 20lb cat came out! yay! i went into the bathroom yesterday and there it was! sitting on the counter. this HUGE animal. then it ran to hide but its so big it can\'t. like the other animals that like dogs, its in the master bedroom hanging by the dogs. what great dogs! i\'m so impressed. there is real love there between that type of dog and the cats. yay! so he goes into a corner and can\'t hide beneath anything. doesn\'t fit. lol. and i go over and pet him and try to make friends. then he goes by another corner and same trouble can\'t fit anywhere. lol. so i pick him up and put him on my lap. he is HUGE. big neck. big head and declawed. i am allergic to him. i had an asthma attack and got a rash by my neck and chin. oh no.

i go back today its the next day and i can\'t find him again. grrrr. hopefully the foster idea for him will work out. if not, i\'ll brush him down and see if it helps. huge cat for huge person ad will be next. lol. rn called to say her friend\'s friend wants the calico declaw. its super shy. rainbow is a better choice. and to be honest the black one that has other issues, seemed very lappy to me in the beginning and that is what they want, but they also wanted long fur and calico and we don\'t get many of those at all. plus lappy and declawed. people are amazing. do they do that when they have kids too? now i would like this kid to be and name all these things....probably do. how about hope its healthy and stop right there.
