The foundation was laid for the creation of TMPA when Doyle Willis was elected to the Texas Legislature with the support of many officers. The Police and Firemen’s Civil Service Act became law in 1947 and the Texas Municipal Retirement System was created. Jeff has been with TMPA since early 2000 as the Director of Administration and Special Programs. His favorite part of the job is that he gets to work with all of the divisions at TMPA. Prior to TMPA, Jeff was with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education as the Deputy Chief, Credentialing Services. During his time at TCLEOSE he oversaw a variety of functions including Information Resources, Examinations, Data Entry, Licensing and Certification, Investigations, Field Services, Agency Audits, and Training Provider Evaluations.
Bobby is a TCOLE instructor, firearms instructor, and ALERRT and FLETC Active Shooter instructor, to name a few. Outside of work, Bobby enjoys spending time with his family and coaching peewee football. Darrell Losoya attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic School and graduated from Alpine High School in 1989.
The teamwork model will include trainings and action plans for agencies to ensure consistent quality improvement of service delivery. Through a grant awarded from the State of Texas Office of the Governor, BCFS Health and Human Services is excited to spearhead the Common Thread project. Common Thread is BCFS HHS’ necessary response to the alarming and unfortunately underreported crime of child sex trafficking.
After adding interior design and landscape architecture, we brought in structural engineering in 2007 and by 2010 all the engineering disciplines were in house. We embraced the best evaluative tools available — from EUI calculations to the Fitwel Standard — and committed to publishing our results. In 2016, we added a research team, LPAred, to improve the evaluation of performance, develop actionable research and complete the feedback loop to enable evidence-based innovation. Proof of vaccination will be required on your first day of employment or within the first few months in the position, depending on the role and location. The quality management officer makes certain that staff at each facility annually complete a minimum of eight root cause analyses and monitors staff compliance.

TMPA championed the passage of a bill that would provide some protections against polygraph abuse, and others that enhanced TMRS, including 20 year retirement. TMPA opened membership up to communications officers, corrections officers and other non-sworn members. Membership was broadened to include school district, college and university officers.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. She loves being at the ball field on most weekends watching her oldest son play baseball and at annual dance recitals for her girls. Before coming to TMPA in May 2014, Bryan worked for Borger Police Department as CID Sergeant. He also spent 11 years as an academy instructor at the Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy in Amarillo, the school he graduated from. He has 24 years of law enforcement experience, including patrol, SWAT, and criminal investigation duties. Jay began his law enforcement career at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s in 2003.
The third, which deals with proficiency testing, is more complicated, but it is also under development. Finally, and crucially, is the matter of who actually makes the determination of whether a defendant is guilty or not guilty. All convictions, including those that later are shown to be wrongful convictions, are determinations made by a judge or jury based upon the evidence and how it was presented at trial. Our annual giving program empowers each of our studios to give back through causes that are important to their communities. As designers, we break down barriers between disciplines to develop projects that work better for people. We bring the same integrated approach to LPA for Change, working together as a firm to combat homelessness, support the volunteer initiatives our employees are most passionate about and improve equity and inclusion in our profession.
