so, i had this cold or flu for over a week and then over a week trying to shake it. very strange. i think the tiring out is more from the hemoglobin than anything else.
just started a book called the cage. its a memoir about the holocaust by ruth minsky sender, who was a young teen living in poland during all this. she explains living in a ghetto that they caged in with barbed wire fencing, and trying to survive there and "labor" camp when they shipped the last of them out.
you think you aren't feeling well, and then you read this stuff and its like, whoa.
the bruiser cat is still missing. my neighbor says the foreign girl stole it. wth? met the new tenant upstairs in the building down the road from us, who used to work for the water company. he says the reason our water bills aren't proper is the new digital thing doesn't work and was never tested before they put it in. sounds like a class action law suit waiting to happen. the guy who had the water company buy them and received a kick back from the company that sold it to them, is no longer with the company. sickening. he says if you go on line, other towns that attempted to put these in, are having trouble as well. here we go. huge waste of money and the taxpayers will have to pay for proper new ones. its a lose/lose situation, but its also better to catch it right away.
ran into c at publix and ran very late getting to dinner at k's. have to try to get there in the afternoon in the future. c is looking for another place but only wants beachside. she says her house is sold finally after four years, but its selling at a loss. the numbers won't be out there until it actually closes. if it does. if its cash it should go through. then she wants to head anywhere that has seasons, even though she is from here. its also amazing her son is 16 now. he was 8 when we moved here. lol. time flies. i didn't recognize her at first because she hadn't dyed her hair. so awkward. plus i probably didn't have my glasses on. they had salmon tasters at publix. would like to go to a wine and cheese taster, haven't gone in a while.
so, was 40 minutes late getting to k's. i called and all that. i noticed time is getting away from me - don't know if its me being short on time, the hemoglobin thing or from the flu. can't figure it out. we had pork, veggies, salad, key lime pie, coffee and mai tais. watched criminal minds and looked up the cheapy houses for k. i think he wants to cut his losses by putting ch elsewhere and then flipping the house. he will run into the same thing again with the next house, if ch is there. then watched the movie the bigamist with joan fontaine and ida lupino. it was excellent, but i got home at 5:30 a.m. because of it and fell asleep in between. then i was dragging the entire next day. i love staying up all night. always did. but right now it throws off my whole body and i feel like death from it. so weird.
finally talked to rn and went to the hope store. picked up stuff for her, k and a. a is in a jam because the property he bought isn't done and he has to be out of where he is by saturday. a total wreck - he says the screened in porch has plaster all over it. its not even close to ready. he is the one who's 19 year old daughter died of an aneurysm. now his step daughter who is 30, but he raised her since she was ten, is also sick (as in surgery kind of sick), so they will be back and forth to see her in south florida. he says he and his wife have such bad luck allll the time, that he would never even consider gambling because they'd probably lose everything.
