Homeless Man Plays Piano So Beautifully It Might Earn Him a Job
Sarasota installed 'public pianos' throughout downtown. This homeless man now has the opportunity to be something other than 'just a nuisance' to all the people downtown. Just took my breath away. Wow. Original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCguq3hTC2M
To learn more about Donald, see our interview with him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3wb-Yt1V9Y
His name is Donald Gould. The 51-year-old says he began playing clarinet when he was just a kid, which led him to playing in the U.S. Marine Corps.
When he got out of the service, Donald wanted to teach music, so he studied music education at Spring Arbor University in Michigan where he is from.
"I took music theory and ear training, and I had to learn how to play every instrument from the piccolo to the tuba,” Gould told WWSB. “I can write parts ..."
He's been homeless for over ten years.

doing nothing. lol. its raining outside most of the afternoon and just stopped. eating mahi mahi with vinergrette and a bit of ragu tomato sauce cooked in with it. sooooo good! supposed to go to the marina. you can hear the fireworks right here. ugh. as always the beach is mobbed (more mobbed every year) they have tents and music set up.
found a photo that is the IMAGE of kristina! omg. the girl is 31 and kristina is 27 now, but soooo similar. freaks me out every time something like that happens. sooooo confusing and kind of scary. famous people must go through that all the time and then all you need is ONE weirdo to really have trouble.
spent most of the day hanging with j, which we haven't done in a long time. lots of talk about the multiple universe thing they just found. amazing how many people are into that. so nice and calm today. had a half a glass of white wine with spanokopia, triangles. its a Greek dish made with Spinach and feta in phyllo dough that they had on sale at the good foods store in the frozen section. its excellent. the 1/2 glass of wine knocked me out. lol. i'm down to half glasses instead of a normal cup for about a year now i think. everything in small doses and evenly paced. its getting noisy outside from fireworks. i actually hate the noise. my right eye is blurry as well and my left ear is bothering me, i guess from the pool? grrrr.
spanokopia
put topical deflea-er on the animals. v says to crush comfortis into moist food for the strays by the hotel, that is what she does. right now we use generic frontline plus, i think it works. i hope it does, but if the animal isn't friendly you can't get near them then. some run from it anyway. makes you wonder what it feels like for them. but after they receive it, they are all friendlier, so they must be more comfortable.
