its 6:30 p.m. and dark outside. i'm not a fan of this time of the year, though some people view it as a rest from sunshine and the outdoors and nice long days.
i recently discovered soaping ones windows has the same effect indoors as a snowy or rainy day, sunlight, but also private, but without having to deal with the bad weather. totally enjoying this. just frosted up a couple of them and two others around the edges where the shades don't match properly. i think they were soaped around the edges when we moved here and i couldn't figure out WHY it was like that. now i get it.
soap is better than buying a frosted window, because you can scratch off an area if you need to and then just dry-soap it back up. the books "tightwad gazzette" and "how to get 10 to 90% off everything you buy" as well as "the diary of an early american boy" by eric sloane, all have great ideas about living green.
its 7:00 p.m. and its POURING rain outside. took an advil and coffee so my head won't explode - bad weather brings on migraine.
the bikers have come all the way north this year and are all over the place. i can't stand it. very noisy and it smells. i guess the businesses like it.
was on my way back from br's house yesterday night, and noticed another business is closed. it was a HUGE store and i don't remember it ever not being there - right on the corner by the beach and a main road! the store has been having sales for a few months, but i didn't expect to see it empty - you can see right through the windows. its a HUGE store. doesn't seem to me that the economy is any better.

I do think I sent you a note about the soaping....had never heard of that. Very helpful to know.
It is getting dark earlier and also not a fan, but I can\'t wait to get that one extra hour of sleep when the time changes....again. I soo wish they would stop it. I love that extra hour of sleep.....I just don\'t like getting use to it and then \"they\" take it away! :-(
the \"theys\" claim because of farming, they have to alter time. (time doesn\'t actually exist anyway humans made it up) if you work second shift, you don\'t really feel it. if you don\'t use an alarm clock you don\'t feel it as much either. for people that work mornings - not good.
i LOVE the soaping thing. in the book \"the tightwad gazette\" they have so many ideas like that, or the book how to get 10 to 90 percent off on everything you buy....makes you have contempt for all that is retail, there are so many other ways.
Of all the enlightened beings I have met and have read about, the one similar quality they seem to possess is that they are not in any way tied to their past. They are free because they don\'t rely on the way things used to be to define their lives today.
