PHOTO: SOLAR ENERGY PARKING LOT IN GERMANY//

SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY!!  EVERY PARKING LOT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS!

Shades the cars while producing free energy.

"Germany has created over 500,000 new jobs by pushing hard into solar and wind energy -

providing incentives for everyone to install and as a result, they will be able to move forward with their plans to

shut down all their nuclear power plants in the next decade."

the panels provide the energy for parking lot lights and of course, shade is better for the paint on the car and the interior; and the energy for powering the buildings beside it!!

very cool idea.  another thing our government should have done (gore probably would have in 2000) but even in the 80's solar panels existed and probably even earlier.  i remember looking at apartments in 1987 in southern spain and some of them had the solar energy thing.  wow.  cr has them on his swimming pool and after paying off the solar initial investment, its free.  wow!  wouldn't mind free and of course the added benefit.

must have slept super well or i must really like fighting (slept in the spare room/garden room, i usually feel like i'm in a camping cabin in that room, and always fall asleep quickly there, also on the deck, but i'm afraid of raccoons out there).  lol.  woke up in a great mood.  then did some more venting by phone.  it will be a waiting game to see what happens.

its earth day isn't it?  nice that we finally have a holiday like that.  spent some time looking at someone from junior high's facebook.  i like the way she put it together, its like a photo collage of her entire life really with small sub-titles explaining.  she moved back to her parents with her kids in 1992, i only vaguely recall that through the grapevine kind of thing, but she is still there with her new husband and now grown kids.  what's the deal with that?  i know someone from college age that does the same thing now, and its the same kind of thing, i'm looking at her photos and i'm like.  that's the view from your parent's house, what happened to your townhome?  lol.  its hard to keep track.  for some reason, things STICK through photos, but without photos it never sticks at all really.

she is the second person that i have seen do an autobiography of sorts on their facebook page.  now lets see if stalking happens from it;  or is it safe to do that.  i still end up hearing more bad than good about being public on facebook, like that.  e mail still works just fine for sending a photo or few, and then you don't know the drama part of it, which is lovely.  lol.

headed to the marina.  a is down there and supposedly its really nice out.  its supposed to drizzle though.  did some weeding and pruning this morning.  a little laundry, still haven't fixed that plug.  looked in newspaper for land for the animals.  everyone thinks summer is here.  cr claims his pool is already in the 90's (he has solar panels).

Wish I was near cr and the pool. I need to find an indoor pool since I cannot be in the sunshine long with MS.

I am aware of how far behind we are in solar energy and others. This parking
lot is just wonderful. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks. The Germans were always ahead when it comes to technology. But I always belived this was around for a long time. Politics, that\'s all. Would\'t want those fat cats in texas losing any billions....which of course kicks back to DC! I have always felt strong about this and could never figure out how the \"little people\" let it go so far...but that\'s another.....have a good one! xxxooo

FB is not my thing either. I don\'t really feel the need for the whole world to know my business. I think email\'s for picture\'s work fine for me, but I do think I am the minority.......obviously. :-)

It\'s POURING rain here tonight and getting colder. Where did spring go?

Good to hear you are getting well deserved sleep!

I love the idea of the solar panels! I wish there were more incentives for companies here to do things like that!

There are a myriad of privacy settings on Facebook so you can set up your account so only your friends can see things. Then, you just have to be careful who you become friends with! Catching up *HUGS*

today is 5/26 and i\'m just reading this! omg! lol. germany won number one country this year. so they are doing well i guess. it was japan last year.

i do the same thing with e mail for photos. then i make the mistake of glancing at facebook, where there is always drama written or read between the lines drama. its actually too much information and i liked it the old way, e mail and fax, which i know is very dated. 1999 was probably the last of that. oh well. i\'m old. if i say it to the kids or their friends they get this amused look. fine. i don\'t even understand their slang. lol.

i love back to nature on facebook. i like a few of the blogs. i started doing what several do on there, find pages that i like and post it. then they comment. some people find great things, totally worth reading. others post photos and list games. i also admire some of the timelines, some have photos at each stage of life. like little autobiographies. its pretty. but then you notice certain things. a girl i new in elementary school used to be stalked by this other girl. here everyone is, all ancient and you look at the page of one and then the page of the other, and even the WORDS are the same. almost want to write to the one being stalked because it used to FREAK HER OUT that this other girl did this. probably still does. now tell me. WHY isn\'t anything done about this. 80 percent of stalkers will murder or maim their victim. stalkers do not go away. its a six year FELONY since 1990. how about put the stalker in prison for the six years and see if it does anything. wth? how many years does it need to go on for before the stlaker is finally jailed.
