NATURAL WONDERS OF THE WORLD
3.5 BILLION years ago, Planet Earth looked like this EVERYWHERE. STROMATOLITES lying around on the dirt, one of very few living things that could survive here. Shark Bay, Australia still looks like that for some reason. wow!
Credit: Monica JohansenTo get a peek at how life on Earth felt and looked 3.5 BILLION years ago, visit Shark Bay, Australia, one of very few places on the planet where you can see living stromatolites.
These structures are rounded towers of sediment built over thousands of years by blue-green algae (which is called: cyanobacteria).
The stromatolites at Shark Bay are a few thousand years old, but they are identical to the stromatolites that thrived on Earth 3.5 billion years ago.
Oxygen made up 1 percent of the atmosphere 3.5 billion years ago so only things like stromatolites could survive on our planet.
Stromatolites can also be found in a few extra-salty bodies of water around the world.
eating the m&m sugar cookies we made yesterday night. they turned out perfect. lol. big surprise! its a betty crocker mix and then i added dark chocolate m&m's to them. yay! thrilled they worked out. i used olive oil instead of margerine, i guess that is the same? its raining outside just light right now. i'm at the house up north and NO ONE is around. should start getting used to this. lol. funny, i love it when no one is around down south, but still adapting to the no one around up here. hope its not raining down south, i left clothing outside to dry, including a jacket.
nothing much going on. i have phone calls to return but i haven't done it. want to go on line to look for doll clothes. need to get animal litter later and trying to encourage myself to start doing sit-ups or some kind of exercise that is easy, also want to look at a timeshare board that has a warm pool INDOOR year-round. tm was by and says ap went to bike week with her friend and hated it, she's only 31, so its surprising she is already outgrowing it. though most of the people on motorcycles are generally over 50 and still attending. i think its important to people up north because its still cold up north in march. around here, its only worth it to go if they have good bands, which they don't always have for some reason. it also attracts people who are into racing. tm is a former racecar driver but he never goes at all.

Yes, we see the bikers daily in their small packs, nothing large. I guess a lot visit the Keys and Everglades as well. Please send us some of that rain. The Farmers are having to water their crops every other day around here. Yes soon
all the visitors will be leaving. I really enjoy the Keys more in the summer when there are not as many people down their.
Good Luck on shopping for the doll clothing and looking at that timeshare too.
Weather her is just plain dusty and dry. Have a great week. XXOO
It\'s sleetin and snowin in Jersey! What a mess. The freakin groundhog lied!
Hope your jacket doesn\'t get wet. Can\'t tell you how many times, as a younger person, living in Fla. I hung stuff up outside, just to enjoy the clean air smell of it all...and went to work....and then it rained! I ended up putting the daggone stuff in the dryer anyway! Such is life in Fla. with those \"anytime\" showers!!
Did you say DARK chocolate in those cookies! You have good taste! SLURP! Hungry now.....
we used to do that too, to get away from it all, in the summer head for the keys. seems like NOTHING is empty anymore though. its really getting too crowded in florida. too many people know to move here. too many sinkholes in the middle of the state....scary.
the cookies were really good, but i don\'t think my sugar can handle sugar cookies, made me dizzy. i bought real ones today at publix. also k called saying my favorite pie is half price over there. i didn\'t see that. love edwards key lime and dark chocolate cream pies and i just brought k a caramel one that i didn\'t like. should have brought over a cheese cake as he has caramel at his house and caramel cheesecake is fabulous. xxoo
