PHOTO/POEM: What can I say to myself? - this is GREAT!
"I'm not good at this," say instead: What am I missing?
"I'm awesome at this." say instead i'm on the right track.
"I give up," say instead, i'll use some of the strategies we've learned.
"this is too hard," say instead this may take some time and effort. "I can't make this any better." say instead, I can always improve, so i'll keep trying.
"I just can't do math," say instead I'm going to train my brain in math.
"I made a mistake," say instead, mistakes help me to learn better.
"She's so smart." I will never be that smart. say instead, I'm going to figure out how she does it so I can try it!
"Its good enough." say instead, Is it really my best work?
"Plan A didn't work." say instead, good thing the alphabet has 25 more letters!
shopped for animal supplies and ran into isr and bda. bda demoted herself at work because after her car accident seven years ago, and losing her house while trying to recuperate, and her sons who lived in her house NOT paying the mortgage, or any form of rent nor utitlities, wth? or helping in any way and they were in their TWENTIES at the time!! (you don't choose your parents, well, parents don't choose their kids either. unreal. though krn's situation with her two eldest sons and first husband is worse, they steal from her if they can find her, so every few years she moves and buys elsewhere and then they find her again. at best they leave the pawn shop tickets of where they took her stuff. who acts like that? wth) -- for bda work became too much, so she put herself down a level to ward off a heart attack or stroke. that is two in a row up there with accidents and several years from retirement "demoting" anyway just to ease the stress. amazing she is okay though because her's is really a miracle just surviving it all including surgery!
its raining out. didn't expect it. did training for one of the guys on something harder that i have wanted him to train on for a while. amazing how much our work people have changed. 80% of our associates were church goers ten years ago. those people are all retired for real now and i think only two of us go to church of the people at work at this minute. wth?
one of them said christmas for him is 100% santa and gifts, he never even went to church growing up and neither did his girlfriend and even though advent is the real holiday (the teaching part leading up to christmas, where a person is giving up all the poison things in their body and spirit. its the whole point of the holiday) and christmas day ends advent and starts 12 days of merry, he said he never heard of any of that, just santa claus. so i said and december 6, that is st. nick's day. he said he never heard of december 6 or january 6 (epiphany) just santa. he's serious. very sad. so what is he celebrating? capitalism? its a whole other generation. he said they go to the store and look for sales and he likes to go to his kids plays and watch them sing songs and that is christmas to him. there is no thinking involved and none of it means anything to him. he also said he used to think santa was god and then he found out there was no santa, so he figured there is no god either. he's serious. could it be more screwed up? what the hell kind of upbringing is that?

i can\'t hear the rest. its so sad. and its so sick! 21 and dead. totally healthy. how does stuff like that happen.
what is the average age of a cp (cerrebral hypoplasia cat? to live?) i thought normal lifespan and my two lived to age seven (though i think accidents killed them, a raccoon and big, i didn\'t know about it until afterward and never figured it out and revolution dosage in my opinion was too high for a 6 pound cat.)
i noticed on the cp site for cats that too many are dead in just a year. wth? why? doesn\'t add up to me.

Also really sorry that there are people out there who have no concept of what Christmas is. In the Christian world we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. Period. It is THE meaning of Christmas. It\'s Biblical. It\'s history. Why we feel the need to take God out of everything is beyoond me! Look what\'s happened to our nation!! Nuff said.

i know. one of the guys we used to know who\'s parents are directors of music at their church had never seen a christmas cake before and didn\'t comprehend that its actually happy birthday jesus, which is why many countries say Happy Christmas. his parents made sure they bought/made a christmas cake that year. he also had never heard of king cake and he is from florida, but he\'s not from a latin area so maybe that is why. was really stunned by the ignorance. people say a little prayer over the jesus cake, he was wondering why we don\'t sing happy birthday. actually you could, but have never seen anyone do that. how about a jesus stocking? does your family do that? he says they do that part but he didn\'t really get why, he thought it was like fortune cookies because its just slips of paper everyone putting INTO the stocking and reading some of the old ones. totally amazes me when people don\'t get the commemoration of the holiday.
i know someone else who thinks each holiday is about making, eating and selling lots of food. and nothing else. my guess, that is a very superficial person.
