PHOTO: Peanuts cartoon, Wishes for a Happy T-Day//
love you all...From our house to yours Wishes for a Happy Thanx-day. Now if they had a big fish on that platter instead of a turkey, i'd like this Peanuts cartoon a lot better.

need to go pick up bins for more packing. and geritol and baby cereal, she is making a mash with moist food, baby cereal, formula and a couple of drops of geritol. she says the same thing as everyone, fleas are a problem this year, even with cap star and flea baths, she also flea combs daily. where does she find the time to do that, even with retirement.
trying for a routine with the animals and praying for land with a barn, then make that part of the routine. it'd be a nicer life for all of them, but i would definitely miss the beach - its rn and tm who like all that rural stuff, not me and tm has been mia for quite a while. right now i don't want to know why, in case its serious. i gave rn two and now she is making me feel like she should have taken the whole batch, normally i would have, but she also said she didn't want to do more. its hard to figure with her because she doesn't follow the sequence like everyone else does. she likes to keep them until adopted.
ideally, she would do the smallest ones because she is home all day and she's good at it and trade them out as they become large kittens that are almost ready for adoption (which nowadays means they are ready to be fixed, which is harder because its a longer wait, but its also the more responsible way to do it). its always thrown me off that she follows a different sequence. the third kitty is ready to be fixed (i think), i saw it at her house the other day, but she says no its too small. i can't say anything because she is the foster mother and what if surgery doesn't go well and then she is right ... on and on.
its harder to do nowadays anyway because i am working more days and further away (and making less money which makes no sense), and ten years ago, i could bring them to my office if needed and the office was local (even back then i was being stalked by the old lady thugs from south of here, they caught them INSIDE our office!). we aren't local anymore and it makes a difference. the water is a problem as well. if she is flea bathing more than once, which she says she isn't. i think we did do that at the other house. capstar also works and then she says she is against that as well because its a chemical. it can make you exhausted just trying to figure out because there is always more than one way to do things, and if you choose a way and its wrong then you kick yourself because had you done it the other way then what? no matter what it ends up being wrong. wth? then every once in a while, you do one, that is totally right and working out perfect and you feel great and its like, i did such a great job with these. lol. rn should feel like that all the time, though it goes in all directions with her as well, she also does wildlife and that doesn't always go well - she had baby squirrels and raccoons this year and she knows how to do possums - which i would love to learn how to do when i find the time. she thinks way more animals die in the wild than what we comprehend and we are only SEEING the success ones or near-success. probably true. the elements (extreme weather - rain and/or cold, lack of fresh water, food, fleas and other predators) kill them.
what was hard here is having kv working against it all the time, not even just here but anywhere someone had a pet or pets. he is gone nowadays. yay. j hates all of this, but stays out of it; and k takes the bigger ones or healthy littles (but he is tired as well. he started doing this in the 90's. its a long time. same with rn. she got certified for wildlife back then). everyone is good at something. i used to be able to do alll kinds. i was the same way as a camp counselor as a kid, i could teach all sports. if the animals are eating food, anyone should be able to do it, except that a lot of the flea meds aren't working as they should, which means you need to flea comb until you find the right med. don't remember all this happening ten years ago. i think even five years ago advantage was still working.
so the mash she makes is multi-grain baby cereal and moist food with some formula in it. i hope they take it. and then a few drops of geritol right in their mouth to put the red blood cells back that the fleas take away. the book says the same thing about geritol and i had never heard of that before.

so i pick up the geritol from rn, with instructions and she says she wants the bottlefeeds. wth? now she says she will bottlefeed the ones born in the summer and fall but not the ones born in the spring because there are too many of them. we\'ll see. i already said to her, its easier to trade out the bottlefeeds as they get bigger for another set of bottlefeeds and she always says no and keeps them until ready to go, and then takes the next set. isn\'t that exhausting? its her decision. she likes staying at her house and doing animal things, but if she won\'t do pick ups etc - it has to be at her house only. i wish she had said this from the get go with the new kittens. i thought adr was going to do them, but they have illness in west volusia so they shouldn\'t be taking anything under 3 months of age and only with all shots. also none of my business, but its dangerous. very sad out there. weird how outbreaks happen.
took the dogs for their walks. so far everything is fine with that - creating a new routine. rainbow the cat loves their food and is doing the sleep on their food bowl thing. they have more than one bowl so it won\'t matter. she must have come from a dog house because she stays by them.
