Its Valentine's Day, ADOPT a soulmate today.

its 42 degrees. just finished eating crackers and peanut butter with coffee and left over wan ton soup with spring rolls.
went to the new italian place with j for "dinner" was curious to see if their chicken cutlet was bigger for dinner and it was. twice the size and dinner is only $1 more than their lunch. the food is good and the owner was there as well for some reason. he's italian from italy kind of italian and very merry. lol. the leftovers will serve breakfast and probably a snack. had tiramisu, but from a bakery not there. yum. cold stone creamery has a heart shaped valentine cake that looks deadly, but you can't choose the flavors, its a fudge truffle with red velvet. i want chocolate.
the orange cat was bleeding from its mouth. haven't figured out what that is from yet. made him softened food two days to make sure he could eat, though the dogs go in there so much, no way to tell if he is getting it, but he seems fine now. he gained soooo much weight since he is with us that he is kind of heavy to pick up.
pruned trees this morning. it was totally still on the mainland but when i went over the bridge to go home, it was so windy, that the wind was moving my car, so i had to slow down a lot to be safe. then i noticed there are fresh branches that could hit the light by my house. weird to have branches growing in the winter? the lace myrtle is almost bare as of now. a month ago it was half green and half dead leaves. i kept thinking oh, its almost summer, then it lost allll its leaves, so i guess that means another couple of months until summer? it says on line that the mayor of nyc DROPPED phil (the ground hog that decides if winter is over), and the animal died?! omg!
ran into one of the former workers from the pound. i didn't recognize her at first, i'm not good at that. she was by the chinese place because she is working in the grocery store in that mini-mall. she is attending cdl classes. she has guts. its a great job if she passes. jc's mother does that and his mother is only 5 foot 2 and 90 pounds kind of thing. cdl drivers make six figures if they work full time. i told her about the hazmat cdl license for resin, as its not as dangerous as other hazard materials and the pay is even higher for transporting it (and there is always a shortage of cdl drivers who have a hazmat license).
went to the new mom and pop place and ordered 3 egg salad sandwiches on whole wheat toast with lettuce. kept it simple so they wouldn't screw it up. i got back, one on whole wheat and two on white toast. see what i mean. the food is good. the prices are incredibly low. but you have to check everything or just accept that it won't be quite what you ordered. lol. kind of like "cafe surprise" instead of a restaurant, but at least its real food instead of processed. you can see them discussing it when they know they messed up. its owned by 4 retired people (and their dog) and they only make certain sandwiches and hot foods and you have to get exactly what they have kind of thing. lol. very limited, but very relaxed and casual. its like they retired and said, hey i know how to make sandwiches, lets open a sandwich shop. they are closed on weekends and after 4, so they are choosing when they work. not bad really.
headed out by the marina and the deep freeze. i attempted to feed the cat over here. the orange one (the other one is black that lives by the water up here), it only ate part of the food, then raccoons showed up and then a possum. it wasn't even dark out yet.

Yea, that was last year. The nyc mayor dropped the ground hog and two weeks later it died. Yea, kinda pathetic. On National TV and everything. I\'m sure he felt like a total ass. Ya know how many little kids were watchin that? Jeepers! Idiot!
yeah, they said it looked like a total accident and that he was embarrassed...should go on that utube thing, people do stupid things. now that there is internet, i guess he will never live it down.
