drizzily outside, 72 degrees. discovered the difference between here and myrtle beach is only a few degrees. talked to rn this morning, she is like k, sharper during the day - its the opposite of me and p. also talked to p. she is looking for a dog again. rn is looking at moving to texas where its dry if the housing prices go up. i think she would really enjoy austin, its supposed to be "hipster" there just like that area in brooklyn that is supposed to be so great now. they are talking about re-doing palatka into something like that, but i have heard about palatka "re-do's" for about ten years now (its still as is).
when the weather is rainy and humid her (everyone's) injuries flair up. rn has back injuries from lifting as a nurse. if she was in a dry climate supposedly anything arthritic goes away. rn says she has a sister in texas (byn says she doesn't. who knows). every year she says her sister is going to be coming over in june - always june - and she never does. never realized there was a pattern with that until this year, so either her sister is cancelling or who knows what.
sh does the same thing with her two sons -- and the truth is, sh and her sons haven't been on speaking terms for about 25 years - not even visitation. sh is bipolar, when she was raising her sons, she felt her furniture and her car etc., were more important than anything about the kids. she says she wasn't on medication for bipolar back then and didn't understand why she was all screwy so she blamed everyone around her. whatever sh did, in her divorce she said she had no chance at all at getting anything more than visitation -- the boys were around ten back then. do they even remember her? eight years later they left for college and she said it was almost impossible to reach them after that. so weird, because with her mom sh seems to get along well. with her sister, who is autistic - she is in an assisted living -- sh ignores her totally. sh says the same thing as caitlin, that growing up with that kind of stress was misery. caitlin turned 18 and left, so did sh. she left for college in england and then california - the further away the better kind of thing. i don't think caitlin's mother knows that the family dynamic was the reason she left so quickly. everyone's family life is always a melodrama - though the photos are always nice. lol.
had dinner at k's and he gave me double the salmon. my g-mother used to do that. when you are sick you can't eat "more". he had marsala wine for it which was a good combo.
Marsala wine is a fortified wine similar to sherry or Madeira. It is not red, nor is it white or pink -- it's a golden-brown, like strong iced tea
i've only had marsala wine in a sauce before this. it tastes like a sherry to me. i'm not a fan of sherry, just like i don't like salt on my margueritas, but it doesn't come up enough to be remembered. chicken "marsala" was the first gourmet food i ever fell for. i think around 8th grade. ate lots of veggies, cobb salad, garlic bread and coffee. stayed over too late. can't do that anymore. or not until my hemoglobin goes back up? watched the season premier of criminal minds and then forensic files. soaked my back and got home around 4 a.m. was totally dragging the next day.

poor pigs---they are smarter than dogs.
and crows, supposedly, are as smart as a 7 year old human.
i know. pigs are one of the smartest ten animals. just like a dolphin or an elephant. i hate humans. humans are what need to be extinct, so the planet can heal.
