"Me And You Is Friends -
You Smile, I Smile;
You Hurt, I Hurt;
You Cry, I Cry;
You Jump Off A Bridge,
I Gonna Miss Your E-mails. lol.
we are still in the middle of torrential rains and the news claims we are getting 35 mph winds on and off. a lot of branches are down all over the place and a tree up the road fell over from it onto someone's lawn. i found what appears to be a baby dead animal of some sort decapitated on our front lawn at the house down south, (but i can't figure out what kind of animal it is. the fur is brown and black and its small like the size of a baby possum, with a small tail with some fur on it as well, but not a lot. a wood chuck maybe? do we have wood chucks in florida?
would love to know what is up with the weather. i hear the midwest has SNOW in MAY. wow. its cooled down and i have the heat on at night and part of the day because this kind of chilly gets in the bones from the high cold humidity and rain - its around 68 degrees. wth? been raining for about 3 days on and off.
thought br would be back this week, but not. however, his stepson is supposed to feed for two weeks when he is visiting, that will help. i was at br's last night feeding for him, his two friendly animals showed up and were eating in both the front and back of the house, the back that faces the ocean one block away was super windy, like howling. and the front that faces west, was almost calm. only in florida. i keep trying to pick up the black cat to try to make friends with her.
i got drenched during feeding. part of br's fence (NEW fence) is down. a piece of the gate came off in the wind, i put a cement patio tile, that he has stacked by the fence, in front of the gate to hold it still during the storms, but the wind will probably get it anyway. the new fence and gate was still "settling" and not locking anymore, so it'd need a repair no matter what. i seem to be only "okay" at feeding colonies for about two months max and then i get screwy with remembering to go there. at worst, i go every other day, but i have to REMEMBER to do that. it'd be easier to remember if it was daily, but its too far away for that.
w called back kv and discovered kv is in the hospital for 3 months because he has holes in his esophogus and they don't know why.
k wants to look at the flag acre that is for sale, with a small house that is in the center of town. went to the sauna. yay! turtle season has begun and everything will be either closed or all lights out at 8:00 p.m. from May 1 to October. i still haven't adjusted to this and really miss the night swims we had at the other timeshare 12 years ago.
the rescue woman, who gave birth to the 2 pound baby a couple of months ago, brought the baby home finally. i'm stunned. hope it goes well. he is 6 pounds now. that whole thing is amazing. his skin was literally RED (like the layers of skin weren't there yet, the dermis and epidermis all that stuff, when he was born and tubes in him EVERYWHERE. amazing what people go through in life.
headed to the house up north, so i can see all the wind damage over there. was at the marina briefly yesterday, with j and a and it looked like the water was going to come up on the land from the canal. haven't seen that since 2004 when we had the third hurricane - frances.

Wow, the weather really sounds crazy! Where are you located exactly?
You are one busy lady. Have a good one. xxxooo
north florida, dkay, the st. augustine area, but there are much better deals in other areas. we were looking at pensacola ourselves for acreage with house, they had like five acres and a 3/2 concrete block house just outside of pensacola for 52,000 with water access. THAT is a deal. though we have somethings similar with much less land in town. st. petersburg is known for having wonderful deals as well. depends if you want mild climate or three seasons. or just plain hot, like fort myers or south florida. there are deals everywhere if you know where to look.
Yes, there are lots of deals for homes out there. Sorry to hear about your weather. Here it is like our rainy season has already started, very early too.
It seems like the pattern like when I lived in Tampa. Every day before 3pm a good downpour cools off, clear late and the sun is up just in time for it to set.
Very weird weather indeed. I wonder what our tropical season is going to be. That is a wonderful deal in N. FL.
So sorry to hear the news on Kv. Here it is getting very windy again and clouds are coming in. Look like more rainfall later. But the humidity has been low, that is a biggie for me.
Love XO
The weather here can not make up it\'s mind. Cold one day and then the very next day hot. Please......make up your mind. I have got to know what to wear to work. :-)
I am so sorry for KV\'s problem with holes in esophogus..........I\'ve never heard of anything like that. Very scary. Praying for the best.
Hoping you didn\'t have to much wind damage in your home up north.
What is it about coast people that we just can\'t leave all the disaster\'s we get?? :-)
It\'s been a weird spring for everyone, hasn\'t it? Catching up *HUGS*
today is may 26 and i\'m catching up on this. it was actually CHILLY last night and wearing sweats. its nice and hot and sunny today. i will never adapt to the north florida weather. so different than down south, where it becomes SUMMER in february. yay! wish it was like that here.
