tried to post on here THREE times and ds kept losing it. wth? the third time i said forget it.
we got the cabinets. yay. now i have to see what i recall of this week. not much, its hard to do that, much easier to post all at once and then its in normal english too. we have our first rescue at the other house. i was going to name her astrid to go with the street, but she is a manx, so its manx for now. i'm not creative with names, and generally the animals name themselves. whatever they answer to and often at some point i switch their name a few months or years later. no idea why. one of the babies - the runt seems not okay so will put it on formula, the one that is alone i think needs that as well. we were trying to bring over the litter for adoption and as always they are swamped. that much more of a reason to start looking for buildings to purchase in washington, d.c. if that is going on there. next adventure as long as health holds up.
rn has a baby raccoon that a few teens were terrorizing as they also attempted to "rescue" i hope it works out for her. she used to do wildlife rehab - its only a few weeks old. we only have one other wildlife rehabbers like that and 3 others that do squirrels.
they claim there is a storm coming as well, which means more troubles. byn moved and needs another place. his stuff is in storage. i don't think she lets him know when there is property available, even though that is cheaper and safer than renting right now. the reason is, when she needs help byn is a no show AND he still hasn't PAID HER for the entire year she supported him. i mentioned this to her neighbor and she claims he paid in labor because he is a carpenter and re-did parts of her house. no idea what to think on any of it and by now, its easier to avoid all of that. i hate drama. its a shame though. there are deals right now and someone like byn could do really well with anything like that. i think it annoys her if he buys, which is really bullying. then she says its not bullying, because she isn't stopping it, she's just not helping it. she has a bad habit of weaving things with no evidence at all. that's actually a mental disorder and he points it out to her all the time. some people that do that claim to be "psychic" and other just admit they should be on meds and aren't taking them.
had dinner at k's on monday, when we planned for tuesday. he couldn't sleep so he called and says he cooked all afternoon and this is what we are having. actually i LOVE IT when i get messages like that, but it was like 6:15 and i wasn't prepared to go anywhere. not good. it was raining all day. so got very little done. some green laundry, which i love doing. you do a little at a time, that is how that is and its very relaxing, actually. my grandmother should be alive to hear me say that. so much of what she used to say about household things is actually turning out to be true.
they have a ton of great stuff at the home store. summer must be the best time to be there? don't know. i was very impressed. georgia has taken to the lone kitten so hopefully that will work out. brought the moldings into the rooms to piece them down to where they will go. i still need to find doors for inside the house. a deck/porch with a roof across the front of the house would be nice, in addition to the one on the back, but have no idea what that would cost. crime watch in that area would also be good along with an outdoor camera in addition to the indoor one.
haven't done much of anything. it rains almost daily. i found a landrover for $5000 but its ten years old, only noticed it because my neighbor just bought a new one for ten times that amount. mln was here and she was trying to talk me into getting a truck. they have reasonable ones up near her house. she says its complete independence. rely on no one. just can't get myself to do that. she says to only get a quad though, (the one with a back seat) because you can't get around properly without it. she bought a piece of land where georgia, the carolinas and tennessee all meet and that is where she goes to chill, with or without her daughter and grandchild. no medication needed. her daughter has a mazda truck and says its great but a mazda truck IS a ford ranger. still can't see me doing the drive a truck thing, at all. i see the practicality of it and that is all. we had a toyota pick up truck in the 80's, but only used to when we owned the stores. even that became a thing because our foreman took to driving it even when it wasn't being used for work. always crap.

the teenagers deny abusing the raccoons, there are actually TWO babies, so now rn is saying they were trying to \"humanize\" them too much? she wants them to go to a professional rehabber. not sure it was really her call, nor the parent\'s call to make. one of our rescuers used to have a \"pet\" raccoon that slept with her 7 year old daughter. as long as it has all its shots and it doesn\'t scare you? too late now though.
went to get formula for the babies and they are all out. i gave all the dry formula to rn. they only have 32 ounce of liquid formula and it will go bad too quickly with only ONE bottlefeeder, so i\'m ordering the smaller 8 ounce cans of kmr on line. rn wants to bottle feed them anyway. i think the runt was in shock, its pupils were too big and the little one here, wants bottles (14 ml syringes with tips filled with formula) or follows around the other animals and nibbles what they eat. neither will eat moist food, not even friskies chicken slices.
the runt with the mom cat took 20 ml\'s of formula, so definitely was hungry.
byn moved back to rn\'s house last night after moving alllll of his stuff into storage. his futon is in the livingroom, so after HOURS of her complaining to various people that he wasn\'t going to, there he is. she should have him do the roof while he is there. instead he is breaking down computers with a friend, i don\'t think there is a market for used computers anymore though. she actually sounds BETTER with him there than not, but i didn\'t say that. if she really doesn\'t want him in her house she could always park an rv in the driveway or next to the driveway and he could stay there.
when i used to have the other house, i told whoever rented off the back of the house (if they were good renters only) if they are ever STUCK in the future, because most of them are students over the age of 30, the garage is open all the time (it was a large 2 1/4 car garage not used for cars, with loft space above it) and there is a couch in there, or if they have a van, they can park next to the house, just don\'t bother me. i don\'t even want to know they are there. one of the \"van\" guys parked beside the house for a couple of years. its not as bad as it sounds, because if they are a student they get a free gym and pool membership and can shower over there even if they are only taking a one credit class. in the winter they should come up with something else though.
we only had ONE year where we had 3 or 4 menace/thieves in a row and they were living there...bad attracts bad, and eggs-on bad to be worse. you can take on ONE bad one and win in a short period of time, but you will not win, if its more than one. then you have to close the house down. what assholes.
they still ask us to rent to students, but i never want to go through any of it again. its funny because had that one year (out of six mostly good years) never happened, i guess i would have continued as a landlord indefinitely. instead, it left me with all kinds of prejudices and biases, that i never had before. in spanish they call it malo leche. it leaves a bad taste (bad milk) in your mouth.
