If every millionaire would do what this man DOES, poverty wouldn't exist ANYWHERE in this country and alllll young people would be college educated.  he is AMAZING!  and its a one man show!

"Self-made millionaire Harris Rosen adopted a Florida neighborhood called Tangelo Park, cut the crime rate in half, and increased the high school graduation rate from 25% to 100% by giving everyone free daycare and all high school graduates scholarships."

This guy is AMAZING!  wish that would become a thing, instead of "adopt a road" adopt a neighborhood.  wonder how it would go?  the person would need a million dollars or a million dollar loan?  how much did it actually cost him to do all this?

nursing a bit of toothache, right now.  if i double floss it goes away.  searching for a car, wanted to wait a bit more, but even other supervisors at my office park at getting annoyed about it, like fix it or replace it, but don't drive it like that.  huh?  lol.  so if i were not a supervisor myself, then its okay to drive a damaged car, but because i'm a supervisor i shouldn't do that?  they didn't say the example thing, but i know that is the thought and who says that is the right example.  amazing when stuff like this happens.

went to the store late at night for the first time ina while.  bda and iris were there.  iris uses a different name at the minute and i never remember her new name.  she pretty far out, without even being an artist.

we have new forms at work - government induced and that is making everyone nervous.   was watching videos from step-cousins up north.  this pisses everyone off when i do that.  we don't speak to any of the steps, and they are more than right to do that, but still funny to watch.  blending families isn't really a good idea, no matter what tv says.  too much stress and hostility with all of that.  and that is totally unhealthy.  you only live once.

one of the cousins is losing memory, totally AMAZES me because she is young for that.  we used to have sleep-overs as kids.  she's in tears because she has no clue at all why its happening.  there are so many toxins out there, it could be anything, there are chemicals at her house because of land and her brother's business, lots of things.   plus her mother is like the movie Sixth Sense and totally untrustworthy (so WHY keep in touch with her at all).  if you know she is dangerous, why bother?  i always wondered about that here and there, even as a kid.

i could go on with this so i'll stop.

went to a book sale at the church.  unexpected.  found another author that is like a long joke book, similar to a junie b book.   this series is "Amelia Bedelia" by Peggy Parish.   HILARIOUS.  i'd never heard of her before.

nothing else.  having beautiful weather.  need to get back on track with support groups on here, which is the whole reason of being here - triggering memory.  and the rest, like losing weight.  all sore lately, have a feeling its the new cholesterol med doing that.  grrrrr.  very dead at the marina, even though it 90 degrees today!

That is one great guy.

Had to laugh that someone uses a different name. How often does she change it. :-)

Hope the toothache goes away. I swear there is nothing worse. After the double flossing you should try ACT mouthwash. It really helps.

So sorry about your cousin. I hope she can figure it out sooner than later.

Girl, pull the trigger on that car!!!! :-)

i know. it runs so well though, it doesn\'t bother me at all, but i know i\'m pissing off a lot of other people. realized the reason companies give out cars as part of a salary package, is probably from people like me who don\'t really care as long as it works well. i HATE the \"appearances\" kind of thing, which is a hoot, as i used to be the total opposite, and LOVED all the flashy stuff when young. no idea what i love now. if i were still in miami i might be able to gauge it.

i use the purple listerine one. good idea though. i really think its her mother and i think it always was. that is so hideous don\'t even want to think about it. like arsenic and old lace or the sixth sense movies. reese witherspoon was claiming people don\'t remember things like highschool because its so traumatic, even lunch is this terrible thing. i don\'t remember it being that bad, just remember never being there. i\'m great at that. lol. makes me wonder if the wedding was traumatic or wherever she stayed was traumatic, so she dropped it from memory? odd though.

I loved Amelia Bedelia as a child! I don\'t remember anything about the books, now, just that I loved them. I hear that my great grandmother liked to change names, too. She also changed the names of everyone around her! I think it comes from a place of insecurity. Catching up *HUGS*

not sure on the names thing. artists do that allll the time. they also use different names for different parts of the arts. especially authors. each genre that they write in is a different name. they also incorporate their names into a foundation. fern michaels does that. she says fern michaels is a corporation and she isn\'t fern michaels. she\'s cool. she donates to animals.

also people change your name for you. each sport you end up with a different nickname. but i think with iris she has like four given names and uses a different one every few years. in our family, especially in europe, they almost NEVER use their first name, its always the middle name. its very helpful because strangers will use the first name and its a red flag, so are you a telemarketer or what kind of stranger are you, kind of thing.

amelia is HILARIOUS. i just read through two of her little books. have no idea how i missed those. i probably thought she was a moron, but i think what the author is doing is taking the mistakes you make as a kid doing it all the first time, and having an adult make all those mistakes instead. so now its super funny.

p.s., i change the names of the people around me and the animals if it suits them and also if i just plain forget. i can totally relate to your great grandmother.
