Happy 4/20 National Weed Day#Lehggoo Get High baby !
super hectic day. its cold out again. the two dogs that needed saving started the day. i was dreading this rescue and didn't want to do it on a holiday, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise so i'm glad i did. the dogs are soooo tiny they are about 6 pounds each and full grown. the woman was crying. she is epileptic, diabetic and paralyzed with one of her hands. her husband took care of the dogs and he had a heart attack and died, his second heart attack since this passed summer. her son thinks the lack of proper care at the hospital is what really killed him. hear things like that about the hospital here, INCLUDING by doctors, all the time, so how about do something about it. they don't have enough rn's so many thing are done wrong by people who are basically cna's. it turns out i know her son slightly from a long time ago (like 12 years ago). what a small world. amazes me every time something like that happens. i don't recall his situation exactly, just pieces of it, so its easier to say very little and nod a lot. they are very nice people and i knew it would be an emotional thing because of the death. the woman's parent's live nearby as well and she says they are actually healthier than she is. i've seen that so often, i'm beginning to have no regard for age at all. look at the situation from kv. 32 and in a nursing home from screwed up surgery. wth? or brt, went in for foot surgery and he's dead now. scary to even think about it.
nice to see him though. for some reason every once in a while he turns up. generally, that ends up being a music thing when that happens with people. same concerts, same clubs, same travels etc., but i don't recall what it is with this. he's in the middle of buying the house he is living for five years with his girlfriend and the owner wouldn't sell, so he's not thrilled, but at least its done and they are getting it now. [around here they call a live-in girlfriend/boyfriend a fiance or wife/husband, even though there is no legal document (i'm still adjusting to that "slang" but i'm old so i'll get away with not using their slang, just smile and nod)] he has two kids who are about 4 and 6 i guess, with her and two of the siblings of these tiny dogs at his own house. his "wife" says it would be too much to take these two as well and his sister has two from this litter and a cousin has two, etc., and on and on.
all the animals come from a neighbor of their's. the neighbor isn't "breeding" and the mother of all these dogs is 8 years old now. the neighbor who owns the mother finally fixed the tiny male dogs in the house last year. wth? people always surprise me. dogs that are that small really belong in a hirise condo where there is no chance of the little critters getting out nor stolen. so it concerns me especially since this happened at our other house 7 years ago. grrrrr won't even go into it now, it would become a rant ...
so i head to the new house with the "guard dogs" for the land, lol, as all of us felt it would be a good idea, if you have land, you should have a dog. and i'm laughing because these two dogs are soooo small. they can't possibly stay at that house and he'll need to get a different one. c is staying at the house right now and they are working on the house every day. i also found another house by a golf course, that is a great deal for someone, wouldn't mind looking at it myself. LATELY we are getting clusters of houses that don't belong to ANYONE. the owner died and has no next of kin and doesn't belong to a church or organization. so surprised. the state of florida will get alllll the money from the sale of homes-with-no-owners. shocking!
this investment home is excellent for rescue but its rough because its old. to be nicely liveable all the walls should be removed and new drywall should be put in. i didn't say this to them, but now i know why he kept saying i wouldn't live there. country places are always like that anyway, and this one feels like that even though its close enough to other things. he says because of the woods, there is a problem with raccoons, so i'll need to go to lowe's and get a larger live trap. cypress log would look nice for the walls as well, since its "country" but have no idea what that costs. i know someone that did that recently and its amazing since its in a small city and then you go into the house and you are transformed to basically a "cabin". cool.
we had lobster tail for easter. we didn't celebrate 4/20 though i'm sure many people did. i'm FOR hemp forests and cannabis oil and wish U.S.A. would get their shit together and legalize it again. it WAS legal until 1935. they made it illegal to make money off of synthetic drugs and synthetic objects. ban gmo's and go natural with solar, take the flouride out of the water so people can become smart again, and stop shitting around, what a mess the passed 30 years have been. and right in front of our noses and we don't even know what they are doing.
the weather is cold again. wth? its 65 right now. i have the heat on. i really thought summer was here. annoying. went berry picking to make the anne of green gables stuff. lol. that will be next. it was a nice way to spend easter morning. i never did that before and would never have thought of it. i told rn to park in my driveway, i won't be there, and go over with byn and pick berries as they will just be thrown away if no one takes them, but she wasn't interested in going and sounds mad at byn again. what she wanted to do is look for the missing cats, but doesn't want to drive and pick berries and the berries are a sure thing. i don't think she'll find her cats, but you never know. also talked to the owner of the missing cats, but i was already running late by then to get back up north for the holiday. so its hectic and have two more holiday dinners to do.
