Some places are making it against the law to chain a dog outside. I hope more places do it. It\'s a horrible life. Dogs are pack animals and the owners are part of that pack. Dogs want to be a part of it.

Her in Miami Dade County, it is against the law to chain an animal. However, there are a lot of people here who do not know about this law.
It is so sad that so many animals are abused. Around where I live a lot of people want dogs on chains. Where I am now, had 2 dogs, I always had a fenced in yard til I lost my home. This house was the only one on the block a fence and they thought the whole neighborhood was their yard, chasing them all over, thinking back must have been a bit comical! Everytime someone always said \"can\'t you chain them in your yard\". This made me soooo angry that when they saw my face they didn\'t wait for a reaction. Now that my baby was put down and my other dog ralphie is still mourning and housemate are very ill people, it\'s hard. Also, I have a hard time going to run errands and such because I don\'t trust housemates, a few people said can\'t you keep him in your bedroom for a few hours?! Very small bedroom, yes he would last may 1/2 hr and start crying and howling. I don\'t understand at least 1-3 homes have dogs and I think chaining them up is abuse, they were born to run.
This sets me off big time. I love my babies and this isnt right. July 4th we had a bad time with fireworks. so many dogs ran off that day. I hate that. but with heat this way and they being stuck out in the yard on a chain... the owners shld also be put out there too.

i know its sickening! the dog looks soooooo sad, like its dying.
I can\'t look at these. It upsets me too much. Can\' \\t watch the ones on TV. I\'m quite upset right now, and I can\'t add any more upset to my upset. It feels kinda like those abortion clinic fanatics who hold up pictures of dead babies. It\'s too much.
i know. people who kill or abuse animals, ANY animal need to be arrested or killed themselves. its ridiculous how long this is going on!
I\'ve always wondered why anyone would care for a dog, and then make it live outside. It\'s just wrong. Catching up *HUGS*
