Sunny and around 70 today. Was super nice out early yesterday and the night before, around 75 and balmy where the air itself is comforting. and then it POURED rain. odd weather for december.
was actually craving fettuccine today, which is the closest thing we have to a traditional food for most holidays. we used to surf and turf every holiday, but i'm trying to be completely vegan now and lobsters live 100 years so not really a good thing to look at as food and steak besides being deadly, eating it is actually cannibalism - animals are our cousins. humans ARE animals. how did any of this eating animals ever get started, its disgusting.
had ambrosia. no one made macaroni salad yet, another holiday food and nowadays no cake. lol. health dictates everything. on of the girls made some kind of appetizer made with a small delicate roll with sauerkraut inside and some kind of meat. really good. never had it before though.
bought benchmark eggnog because they were out of evan williams and it ended up a pleasant surprise as it has nutmeg in it, so it tastes a little better all by itself. kind of thick though and i think evan williams has more alcohol in it. went to a taster and they had cupcake brand chardonnay which was excellent.
i still have shopping to do. i didn't realize it was the 24th on the 24th and i kept thinking it was the 23rd. went to macy's to get cashmere turtle and the clerk said it sold out the first cold spell we had. so i'll try dillards i guess for $79 (same sweater) or tjmax for $99. it should be easy to get sweaters in florida? but its not.
ALLLL of my cashmere newer ones are missing and all my newer wool socks. it was the last bunch of things jf STOLE from the back seat of my car before he died. he actually broke into my car and took whatever packages were back there. wth? i didn't even recall that. js did when we were shopping - the kids always hated jf and wouldn't even come home if they saw his car there. I had forgotten all about that. what kind of person does shit like that. this is the asshole that would never go away - he wasn't really a friend, he just wouldn't leave. we would catch him at our house up north allll the time. that guy was such SLEEZE. hate to say stuff about the dead but he was. he had no reason to steal at all, he lived with his girlfriend in her brand new house, so why do it? a regular sticky fingers. if he gave you anything, you had to wonder what he was up to. was it stolen? is he poisoning you? what is this. and very convincing as well. creepy. doesn't say much for krn that she was with him. a lot of people say he did what he did because he got away with it his entire life so he never learned to have boundaries of any sort. extremely underhanded person. never understood why he kept showing up though and it caused soooo much friction in our household because he wouldn't go away. he would "help" with things, if j was working on anything and its like, and help himself to how much else? people like that are never worth it. j could have had a pro come over and fix things cheaper than being robbed by this man every time he showed up to fiddle with things. after he died his friend was showing up, who we also don't like and its like. when is this going to end? and what is your excuse for being here. it used to be he was looking for jf.
went out to eat at the mall when we were trying to catch up on gifts. still have more to do. grrrr. had bourban chicken and rice, with spring roll and broccolli/cabbage hate to say this but it was great. i know its all gmo and gmo causes cancer and autism etc.
this was the oddest holiday week so far (12 more days to go though to catch up), i have k's gift but can't drop it off or even the card because alex is still there and may steal it. k said to just look at it this way right now, if anything is missing, alex stole it. how can he live like that. the tv was on in the den when i dropped the tree off, you could see it. he claims he is locking him out of the main house. hmmm, if he is locked out who was watching tv at 1 a.m.? and why bother with any of it? i dropped off our extra tree for him, because his tree broke (its artificial) so nothing for him to put up and just left our's outside on his porch.
js is working (she gets that from us, in the passed few years. that's okay. christmas eve is the whole holiday anyway). still have other events to go to, just ran out of time.

j asked these three guys on their boat to help after he fell off the kayak, they said we have been drinking for 3 days..lol ...
it\'s ok we need help... THREE days? that\'s a lot of drinking! if i hadn\'t done similar things myself as a teenager at country houses and beach houses, i wouldn\'t be able to comprehend that. you end up almost straight really, but not quite. these guys were over 35 or 40 though. isn\'t that dangerous?
this holiday was weird. i didn\'t give k all of his gifts, two of the three, a wine holder for the fridge or closet, and a book on the best of everything worldwide that i know he will like. the new stuff i can\'t give him while ax is there as he will steal it and return it to the store to get something for himself or the cash. total slime. when is this going to end. its really ridiculous.
today is january 17. i took down the wreaths on the beach house doors and put up an easter cross. saw the tree i dropped at k\'s house for the first time today. the fiber optic STILL lights up. so all the lights are fine, just need pluging in. its in the back den by the back door this year, normally its in the front living room by the large window. he\'s not happy over there, you can tell. very pissy. the \"three days\" that ax was supposed to be there is now about six weeks. k can\'t buy food in bulk because it will disappear. any work ax does, he wants to be paid to do it, to the point of even cutting the dogs NAILS! wth? despite wanting money all the time, ax hasn\'t written a check for the $1200 he owes k for 3 months of electric in the summer at the new house, $200 from being at this house now, and another $260 from three years ago. wouldn\'t it make more sense if you must \"pay\" him to pay him half until the debt is paid. and with all this, every month ax will owe more money as he never pays when he is at either house even though he is supposed to. it makes no sense. it seems to be making k sick, but like the cop said, he shouldn\'t have let him in, just call the police. what kind of audacity is that, you go back to the house you just ROBBED the month before and ask to stay there. why in the world did he do that? and then continually ask for money? what the hell is that? its disgusting. k is also afraid now because he knows where the new house is that he\'ll rob it again when its done, which means the neighbors there are right to be vigilent. they are FURIOUS about all this. alllll of them are. i was really surprised. they even had a meeting about it and there ax is again. so the neighbors are furious all over again. when is it going to stop?
