Phone Envy
Once again I'm going through a period of cell phone envy. I was doing okay until my aunt died and I was around my little sister, my cousin and her daughter and friends. All of them had an I-Phone or variation. I heard all the great sounds the phones made when a call or text message came in and I saw them using their touchscreens doing all kinds of things. And there I sat with my little Virgin Mobile phone that was capable of doing the things the fancy phones did, but way too small for me to do them. Just the idea of having a fancy phone drove me to envy. But, why do I need one? I don't text. Maybe because of having to keep up with the number of times I pushed a number to get the right letter. The fancy phones have qwerty keyboards to make it easy. But who would I text? They have fancy cameras. My phone has a camera, but I don't go anywhere that would make a good picture. They get on Facebook and other places on the internet. My screen is too small to try to read the small print. Besides, when I want on the internet, my home computer serves me very well,,,,and I don't have to keep track of the number of times a push a number. I get this envy every once and while. It will pass and I'll appreciate my little phone that allows me to make and receive calls from anywhere and receive texts that I will respond to with a call or an email(from my computer). Why envy something you'll never make full use of? Keeping up with the Joneses,,,er family?

I have a Virgin Optimus V and so much is too small to see but I\'m like you in using my laptop for the \'heavy duty\' net surfing and use my smart phone for when I am at the store and want to look up if a tree on sale would make for a good purchase or not and to use to call AAA if my Chevy S-10 bites the dust away from home. I actually do all of my contacts with email as my memory is often challenged with voice conversations and email keeps me on top of my game. LOL I think the biggest issue with coping with illness on disability benefits from my husband\'s retirement is to SAVE MONEY

Just having internet is a blessing for some. I see all the phones too, but if I want to use internet, I value a laptop or computer, as I find those little bitty keys too much for me at my age anyways. We all wish we had different things, so that is normal. I have a lot of things put in closets that I thought I wanted and really didn\'t. Hugs to you!
