Phone Calls At 4:30 A.M.

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 – 11:55 A.M. The unwanted and incessant jarring of the telephone awakened me at 4:30 this morning. I answered it, and then some unknown person spoke my name and hung up. This happened three times in ten minutes before stopping. This is not a good way to start the day, especially when I have insomnia!   That was not the only thing that went wrong today. One of my CNAs failed to show up because of an arm injury. A professional home health care agency would have notified me, as well as automatically send a replacement. Believe me, there is no professionalism when it comes to this agency. I am almost ready to start looking for another agency again. If I decide to do that, I may hire someone on a part time basis to screen more than one hundred agencies for me.   I had planned on having a nice peaceful and relaxing day, but my sister called to say she is coming over to look at my vacuum, which has stopped working. Based on experiences with her, a look will turn into an expenditure of my money.    At this rate, I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
