PHONE CALL TO GOD
There was a man with his family traveling around to various parts of this great country. As he drove closer to the "Bible Belt" section of the USA, he began to notice signs which read "MAKE A PHONE CALL TO GOD".
After seeing several of these, he couldn't resist any longer and pulled into the place with one of these ads. He said, "Is that ad for real? I can make a phone call to God from here?" The worker behind the counter said, "SURE ENOUGH! AND IT ONLY COSTS $150.oo for 5 minutes!" The man said, "Thanks, but I think I'll pass."
After he left, he was still puzzled about how anyone could make a phone call to God. Just a bit further down the road, just as they crossed into the next state, there was another ad "MAKE A PHONE CALL TO GOD". So, still curious, he went in and asked, "Is that ad for real? I can make a phone call to God from here?" The worker behind the counter said, "SURE ENOUGH! AND IT ONLY COSTS $100.oo for 5 minutes!" The man said, "Thanks, but I think I'll pass."
This went on for the next several states they passed, with each state charging a huge amount that the man just didn't feel comfortable paying since he believe there had to be a catch to this thing. But what if there is some truth to this? The man just couldn't get this possibility out of his mind.
Finally, they came to West Virginia, where once again the sign read, "MAKE A PHONE CALL TO GOD". At this point the guy had seen signs state after state and couldn't resist any longer. He parked his car, went into the little shop and asked the same question he'd asked everywhere else.
He said, "Is that ad for real? I can make a phone call to God from here?" The worker behind the counter said, "SURE ENOUGH! AND IT ONLY COSTS 75 cents for 5 minutes!" The man said, "WHAT! Every other state I've been in with the same sign has asked prices as high as $150.oo for 5 minutes! What's the deal that I can make a phone call to God from West Virginia for only 75 cents?!" The worker behind the counter said, "Well, sir, this here is West Virginia and everybody knows it's Almost Heaven, like our state slogan says. Since we're closer, it's not a long distance call."

Yep, the only \"good\" thing about WV.....I know God made all things and He made them perfectly but honestly, I think I could have done without Him creating SNOW. :)
