phone calls

Today was yet another wonderful day with cranky butt husband. *Sigh* On a positive note I did get go to the fitness room and walk for a half mile day! Go me! Also have an interview for tomorrow for a nanny job I'm meeting the mom at one of the local malls. We'll see what happens!
Called my mom and vented and expressed my irritation about the whole "cranky husband" situation and was able to vent a little. She understood somewhat, at least as much as she was able. She's talking about the possibility to come down next week for a visit. She thinks I'm far away from a possible divorce type situation but I don't know. I've seen this behavior in Mike since before we were married so I don't see it endng anytime in the near future. I have to blame myself somewhat for not seeing it before and either dealing with it or ending the relationship. Mike makes it sound like he'll get a job and whoosh it will all disappear. But reality is after 2 to 3 weeks of the job he'll be complaining about how lousy that job is too. Came down to see Mike after my phone call and he was wondering about who I was talking to for so long I told him my mom. He asked me how much "crap" I was talking about to her and I told him "some". That of course annoyed him but if u can't talk/vent to your mother, who can u vent to? Not to mention, what did he expect me to do...lie? I suck at that too!
Called D and he was busy playing video games. Turns out that his folks that live in WA are moving to AZ so who knows how long it'll be before I ever get to see him in person again. I hate having friends in other states! Overall the conversation was hugely stilted and mostly uncomfortable, hated that. Used to be able to talk to him so easily. I miss that. Such is life and marriage.
Wish I could have happier news but such is life when you're in the rough patch and stuck in the old sand trap!

Way to go at the gym! That\'s awesome and a great outlet for your stress too! I love going to the gym!!! Love it ever better when the workout is OVER! LOL. Good luck with your nanny interview too!

My DH is Italian and can be moody. He actually is on mood stabilizers which help alot, he\'s calmer for sure. Relationships are work and everyone (even us girls) have our faults and aren\'t perfect. There are times where we just focus on our spouses faults and don\'t remember what we love about them. If you can turn that around, maybe that would help? I don\'t know you well so this is just my opinion, for what that\'s worth. Mom\'s are great to vent too, of course you should vent to her. Men don\'t vent, they internalize, I feel sorry for them really.

You\'ll get out of that sand trap. Just look after YOU, like yourself, make yourself happy. Other people won\'t do that for you but they can enhance your happiness. xo

I agree about venting to mom. If you can\'t vent to your mother, who can you vent to? Well, you can vent to us here, too!

Good for you for exercising!! Way to go!! *HUGS*

I hear walking is a great way to get your thinking done as well as exercise, so good for you for taking that walk. My daughters husband also interfers with our relationship and she lets him , more shame her. Hope grumblebum gets over it soon for your sake.
