Ph Call Fr Rheumy's Office

Well something interesting has just transpired. I just got a call fr my rheumy's office.  Last time I saw him, abt a month ago, I spoke with him abt my pelvic/hip troubles.  Although a physical exam didn't reveal anything he sent me for x-rays. His asst, Debbie, just called me to say that they had gotten a report back fr the radiologist re my x-rays saying that there appeared to be something that warrants further checking.  Of course Debbie is not in a position to say any details & I wouldn't expect that but at least I thought OK I'm not going crazy, there is something not right somehwere around that hip area. BUT, after that exam my rheumy felt I shd also check with my GP & he forwarded a note to my GP explaining the situation & recommending I have an MRI.  My GP however said "oh you have to wait too long for an MRI lets do a CT scan first & we'll see fr there".   I explained to Debbie what my GP said but I also told her that I don't think he fully understood me cause he said something abt a CT scan to do with the lower lumbar/back area or something or other.  I confirmed with Debbie that I would definitely be game for the MRI cause again like i said something is not right, we know our own bodys right! So my rheumy's office is going to call me Monday & we'll see fr there.  I'm still scheduled for the CT scan Tues a.m.. Also, I think I mentioned abt the horrible dry coughing problems I've been having, for what, 6-8 months now.  I went to get a refill on my Altace(Ramipril) prescription & this time there was an extra little note stuck on the box saying that dry coughing is a side effect & if it persists to get in touch with your dr.  My pharmacy is going to call the dr's office to say I've spoken abt this & see if he'll maybe make a recommendation to lower the dose & see if that helps. What a relief when you get some concrete answers.
