PETS
I have seen in recent posts how much love we all do get (and have) for our pets. It takes me back to my days when Hubby and our pets were still around. We had a dog named Kozmo, and two cats... Pita and Jazzy. I miss them all terribly (actually the pets more than hubby) but have not gotten any more since I've been living on my own.
I'd love to hear about (or see pix, or both) of all your furry friends.

you know unfortunately kim we cannot post pictures of pets on threads like this....only the first opening post can have pictures. all replies unless we copy and paste them into the body of the post we cannot send a picture....lets see if I can copy and past some I just sent to my computer....
nope cannot even copy images into a thread......so if you want us to post pet pics keep looking into our journals
I remember Kozmo. You use to talk about him alot. I have two australian shepards. One male one female. They are not really mine but my ex wife moved back in with me and brought her two dogs with her. I will post photos of them which I get a chance. I am uncle Bobby to them, lol!
I didn't realize that Bill. Thanks for letting me know. I am technologically challenged so just thought I didn't know how.
Bob that is just as much fun to be "uncle" as it is to be Dad. I am sure they are great company. I'm glad to hear you do have company (the pups and ex). Hopefully that is working out for you all. I sometimes wish I had someone here too ( and often wish I'd get another pet)
For 17 years I had my Beloved Chachi...kitty, she passed last May, 3 months shy of her 2oth birthday. She was my 7th kitty, all adopted as older cats, except for my first, Mr. Boots who was a kitty I found on a city street...lol...when I left home to move in with a friend my Mom said "you can go but the cat stays"!!! Up until Mr. Boots arrival, we had 7 St. Bernards....Mr. Boots would go on Evening Walks with the dogs <3.
It took a lot of thought, and many months, but eventually I just was so depressed and felt so alone, despite my son living with me. It was so painful to loose Chachi, and at 72 I knew I would not out live another pet and that John would have to agree to take on the pet, which he said yes to.
We now have Mia, a Crazy Sweet 1 year old girl who was found last October outside behind a store with her 4 kittens and taken to the local pound. One day when I had to take John into the city and we were going past the pound I just said "lets go see" and we did....we are So Blessed with this sweet girl who is such a character....and yes, her 4 kittens were adopted too <3.
I don't know how to put pictures from my phone to the computer, but she is a gray tiger with a Bright Orange Nose!!! and Huge Green Eyes <3 she rarely stops talking too....I have to be very careful as she is always following me and has nearly tripped me up several times. We had no idea she was just out of kittenhood...they thought she was 2/3 years, but the vet who fixed her said 1 year!
Miro that is great that you rescued her....with posting pictures from phone something I choose to do is mail them to myself and get them on my computer as a download.....then to post pictures if you look above first post there will be on right side a little box that looks like a picture....click that and it will let you choose files you can also get them from phone directly but phone screen is so much smaller to crop them....so when you click on select a file from this computer or phone you would then open up files that you have or picture library in phone....so assuming you emailed it so you get it on computer it is in downloads and will be by date you did the download and they pile upwards when you download more pictures....so bottom one is first you downloaded....ect to top one is last downloaded...
click the download you want say the only one today and it will open into a window that has a rectangle inside it that is the thing to crop the photo so you can get all the photo in picture into the DS screen you need to move the rectangle I usually grab the top corner on one side and bottom corner on other side and when you do that you can move two sides at once....practice makes perfect...LOL
so once you have the picture exactly how much of it you want inside the rectangle that is moved you go below the picture and there is a thing that is square or two squares together and it should say crop....click that and it posts to your first entry in journal or post....we cannot email DM each other pictures but we can post more than one by repeating process....and it goes into only the first posts....after that one no more pictures can be loaded....once you click post it will send it to the server and blast it out in notifications....
does that sound complicated? it is not once you do it two or three times it becomes a bicycle ride....you never forget how to do it....hugs bill
Miro your Mia sounds precious.
When you mention her rarely being quiet that brings back memories of our Pita. When late hubby and I got together he came with his two cats. One was older and quiet and pure black. Her name was Chyna. The other was all white with black right eye, ears and tail. I asked him what her name was and he said I don't know. I asked him how he got her to come , his response was "I don't have to call her, she's always there and never shuts up. She's such a pain in the ass." So I named her Pita. lol (PS, I told him many times he had the compassion of a flea.)
We rescued Jazzy from under the neighbors shed. Her Mom was a bit of a ho and had her kittens and rarely came around. She had 4 other siblings that would wind up being road pizza. But she was so quiet and scared she stayed back and eventually she did come to us. She was always very skiddish, but would come to me. She did have tiger markings as well and did get long hair from somewhere. She also had such pretty eyes.
They all do melt our hearts.
Kim, sometimes I feel such a horrid person as I have so much in my life that so many others don't...I can honestly say that Mia is the only thing in my life that truly makes me 'feel' happy and laugh till I do 'toots toots' which sends my son laughing into spasms...I just say Wait Til You Get Old!!!
Hoping you have a happy day :) ml
