Petit Mal Epilepsy and my story with it!

I had my first seizure when I was at pre school age range. The first person to notice my seizures was my pre school teacher. She said how she repeated my name but I would not respond. I was in a seizure at a short period of time. My seizures were very mild. They were like staring spells I would zone out for a few moments and then return to the activity I was doing as if nothing ever happened. My teacher was the first to notice because my parents thought I was ignoring them on purpose when I was actually having a seizure. My parents told the doctor about it they put me through an EEG test. An EEG test was where they stick weird wires on your head. Then they tell you to just lay there for a while then they will run some test on you. The test they ran were flashing lights test were they flash lights that you look into to I induce a seizure. also the other test was a hyperventilation test where they made me blow on a pinwheel to induce a seizure. The reason they did these test were to help the wires pick up a signal to know if I had a seizure and what type of seizure I was having to get the diagnoses for me to get medication to feel better from them and also keep them from progressing. After that one EEG test they ran allot more to keep track of the seizures. I also visit the doctor often and done allot of hyperventilation test there. Eventually I grew out of the seizures as I aged and got better. Now I no longer have these seizures.
