Personal Accomplishment

Many yrs ago now I was forced to quit a job I'd had for abt 17 years.  To sum things up a junior woman, older then me, a temp, but a very aggressive nature in that when she wanted something she went out to get out no matter what.  I guess she wanted my position which was Assistant to the department head at that time, gee he was single, she was divorced??????? She made my life such a living hell I quit but I had documented all instances that had occurred, things she had said and/or done to me. I had 2 weeks vacation coming so I gave no notice just did up a resignation letter & dropped it off in Human Resources on a Friday then was gone. But I had presented all the notes to a very senior operations manager who I had closely worked with in yrs gone by & deeply respected as he did me or so I thought. He refused to get involved & I was terribly hurt. I took the company to court, not for money at all, but to prove that they couldn't keep treating people that way & get away with it.  I won my case & in yrs following that it really shook things up in that company. Today while hubby & I were at our clinic for some usual tests I ran into that senior manager.  My news is that I no longer still hold that grudge or that anger against him, it's gone, forgiven.  No I can't forget but I can't be angry anymore. I feel very uplifted by this & just wanted to share this.
