Perseverance

Well,still no luck on the employment front,but I am making huge breakthroughs in evaluating other people & how I react or do not react 2 them.Last night was interesting 2 say the least,4 me anyway.The house I  am in has 3 renters with a room each,& Omar & I were both at home,the weather forced Omar home early as the wind was very quick 2 come up & unpredictable.They install aluminum railings,so they could not even sheet the decks,wind taking their material in all directions.The other roomer besides me is a rather large Jamaican fellow named Mike,Omar hails from Damascus,Syria.Omar had just finished cleaning the tub & shower enclosure when Mike came home & almost immediately got in2 the shower.Omar & I had just been discussing the fact that Mike forced(kinda)his friend Ben 2 vacate as he & Mike had a heated argument about something or other,he seems reluctant 2 explain,but Mike had been on my case because I kept shutting the hall light off at night,I keep the floor light on,more than enough 2 see your way in2 the bathroom in the dark,I think."That is so dangerous,man!"Was his sentiment,I just said,"Sorry,I'll leave it on then,"not wanting a confrontation over such a trivial thing.The night previous,he gave me specific orders 2 wash bath mats in cold water,or I would have no hot 4 my shower,being all authoritative & everything,like he is the boss or something.Anyway,he is in the shower 45 minutes,I go in after he finally left so I could relieve myself,& here is a big green snot ball on the south wall of the stall!I hear him in there when he showers,clearing his nose every time,& Omar echoed this sentiment,as his ensuite is right against the shower stall.This has 2 be 1 of THE MOST DISGUSTING things I have ever witnessed 4 a grown man 2 do,especially in a common shower!At the homeless shelter I was in in Calgary,stalls were partitioned,but had a common ceiling,so you could here the expectorating all the time,which led me 2 clean the stall be4 I even went in!I waited until this morning when he was about 2 leave,& I asked,"If you wanna clear your nose in the shower,please clean it out after!"& I showed him the offensive material.He says,"It was like that when I got in there!"My reaction was,yeah,right,& he tried 2 get me 2 argue the point,but I stood my ground,no swearing,yelling(which 3 months ago would have been my 1st instinct.We had a border in Linden did the same,nipped that in the proverbial bud IMMEDIATELY)I was quite impressed with myself!After that he just acts the innocent victim,no respect 4 HIMSELF,never mind Omar & I that have 2 use the stall,as well!That is not what bothers me the most,though.It is the fact that he lied RIGHT at my face,not even batting an eye!This is commonplace 4 him,acceptable behavior,I guess!The Lord Jesus Christ has certainly been teaching me well,that much self-control in a mere 3 months!We'll see how it goes when Bob gets 2 hear about it when the crap hits the fan?2 be cont'd!spinelessinalbertaJustKeepSmilin' :) JesusSaves!
