PERFECT HARD COOKED EGG//ak was by, tm was by//fed at br's//shopping
"TO MAKE GREAT hard-cooked egg is, in fact, to treat it softly.
Place eight or more eggs in cold water,
gently bring to a low boil, and immediately turn off the heat and cover the pot tightly with a fitted lid.
Let sit for 10-11 minutes, rinse with cold water, and voila, the perfect "hard-boiled" egg."
spent the day running around. made it to br's to feed his colony, wasn't sure i would have the time to do that today. spent most of the day shopping. got animal supplies and they gave me 2 pound bags of holistic cat foods for the animals as well, that place is such a godsend. then went to the hope store and picked up breads and cake mixes for the holidays and they also had FOCUS FACTOR vitamins. i couldn't believe it. $5 per bottle. they are over $20 per bottle in walgreens. i got three bottles at the hope store.
saw rn, who's birthday was the 25th, need to drop off a card. i didn't remember at all. she has had a lot of death as well. her old cat was attacked by a pit bull and killed. her siamese kitty was hit by a car, but is recovering, her neighbor dropped off a bottlefeed kitten that a hawk DROPPED in their yard, what a lucky kitten! looks about 4 weeks old. and a possum with nine babies was mauled, all babies in her pouch killed by a bunch of dogs. the mother possum survived! and is in a cage at rn's house recovering. she's very upset though, and looks tired.
also saw mike briefly, he and sh are still burning it at both ends working SEVEN days per week, wth? they never sleep at their house at all, just at the assisted living and only go home to feed the animals. omg! i hope they sell their assisted living soon, no one can live a schedule like that. they are also looking for a larger piece of land over ten acres, for the animals.
someone had dropped off two cats at their facility. no instructions and filthy carriers. hope it works out. i need antibiotic spray for a siamese and i'm out of animax ointment. wish the government would allow the sale of animax and antibiotic sprays without a perscription, its only antibiotic.
got to the house up north and ak was by and waiting. grrrr. talked to him earlier today and caught him in a lie when i got to the house, and have a feeling i am going to catch him in another lie from something else he came up with (i don't think he realizes that the kids aren't even here most of the time anymore). why does he still come by here, he's so full of shit and drama anyway. great liar, but its all crap. he had his wife with him this time. very annoying. we aren't friends and j was never friends with him at all, ak was a friend of jf, who died two years ago. ak spends a lot of time bashing jf lately, i think he expected to be in his will or something. lol. i'm not a fan of jf either, but the solution is easy. don't stop by here, even having jf around before jf died was a problem. the kids wouldn't even come into the house if jf was there because he was so loud and obnoxious, they'd drive in the other direction and wait it out. lol.
tm is having a drama as well because of ap trying to be underhanded and telling lies and he falls for it and repeats the lies, which is just as bad as making the crap up yourself. he's also too old to be acting like that and falling for that crap. and at 31, ap is also too old to still be like that, though some people are like that permanently (and then they end up on ssi and ssd because they decide they are mental and that is why they aren't employable or normal in anyway. see tons of that in north florida. how about start working at a very young age, like age 9 with a paper route, and you will develop workability and "staying power" (the ability to keep a job), if you keep the job and from there you will become "sane." idle hands are hands of the devil - laziness makes people fantasize things, which is fine in creative writing, but nowhere else). what she is doing is trying to pull a fast one, just like a young child would do or a young in the head teenager. she is 31!! i'm amazed every time it happens. tired of it really.
headed to the marina. its 55 right now. hope it isn't in the 40's again - 70's and sunny during the day. have been trying to post a flooded basement photo from hurricane sandy and i can't get it on here for some reason. its a cousin through one of my father's marriages, that cousin's father's, second batch of kids through next marriage, and by then no longer a relative on any level. don't know her, but the cousin i did know sent it over. so sad for all of them. her house is in new york. omg! i don't recall ever seeing stuff like that up north ever - the water was maybe two feet from the ceiling and furniture and stuff is floating around in it. so sad. they live near the bay.

I will try this egg thing on top. I do not have much luck when I do not boil them.
Have a Wonderful Awesome Easter. XO
the chef who published that says that fast boiling the eggs makes them come out with grey yokes and that will give the person eating it indigestion.
i have been doing it similar to this, but for 15 minutes (if i remember) for over 20 years. it does come out hardboiled. but i do still forget its there, even with the pot off the burner cooling and that isn\'t okay either, but its more okay than it boiling away and all the eggs cracking open. lol. i\'ve done that as well. beabout n
I always forget how to do this when I need to boil eggs! It seems so easy, and yet I always forget. Maybe I should print it out and post it on my frig! LOL! I have a nifty little egg timer thingy that you put in the water with the eggs and it tells you when your eggs are done. It also has lines on it so you can make them soft-boiled and get them out perfectly! Isn\'t that neat?
Since I don\'t know who all the other folks are in your journal, I don\'t feel like I can give you any advice on any of that. All I can say is, drama SUX. :D I hope all the drama around you doesn\'t affect you. *HUGS*
