People with RA lie.
Read a good little blog post yesterday about how people with RA lie all the time. It's so true. After a few miserable days, you start to feel like you are whining and others will get sick of you. It's easier to keep it in and just say "I"m fine." Also, while the ones closest to you may really want to know, people in general don't. I know I've said on FB that it is especially hard to be honest at church. Everyone walks by, smiling, asking a quick "How are you?" but I know they don't really want to listen. And even if they did, they probably wouldn't past the first couple times. People have their own lives to deal with. Here's the post:

Along the theme of honesty, I marked my status as the first thing that came to mind rather than quantifying and comparing like I usually do (you know what I mean, I'm okay relative to how I was the other day or compared to how so and so is doing).

Also read this RA to English translator blog that I found amusing awhile back http://www.rheumatoidarthritisguy.com/2011/08/ra-to-english-translations/ that kinda fits the same theme.
