People's opinions....
You Say: The loss could not have been that bad if it was that early in your pregnancy, you should be fine.
I Say:
- Have you been through this for being a master at how I should / would and must feel?
- Yeah please explain how it cannot be hurting if I did not even have the opportunity to know if there were one or two babies inside me / See them at all / Know if it was a he or she and worst of all see that little heart beat.... ? (To me it is even more painful not knowing this than I would have felt if I did...)
- How am I not allowed to be hurting if I was pregnant and in one minute everything changed and there is just a big empty whole left inside my heart? Is there some sort of magic lamp that I should rub and wish for not feeling anything ?
You Say: Maybe its better for the loss this early in your pregnancy, maybe something was wrong with the baby.
I Say:
- Since when are you higher qualified than a Doctor and God to know something was wrong with the baby ?
- Maybe that was a very healthy baby inside of me going to be the next freaking president!
- Why make me think something was wrong with my baby if I already feel hurt and crappy? How is that to justify the fact that I am hurting from a miscarriage?
You Say: Are you feeling better now - after I returned from my treatment.
I Say:
- How the hell would I feel better, my body still thinks its pregnant and need to "Reset" itself?
- Mentally it feels like I will never be fine!
- Currently feel 50 shades of hormones a day so yeah I feel perfectly fine and better (sarcastic)!
You Say: Don't worry you are still young!
I Say:
- If I have to hear this one more time I will explode!
- Yeah I am still young I am well aware of my age thank you very much.
- Young or Old that comment vise versa won't make the feelings I have better.
- A remark like that asks for a bloody nose!
Guess my point is if you have not been through something such as a Miscarriage or a Etopic Pregnancy and don't know what to say, rather just listen or be present than to give a comment and think it will fix it as sometimes it does more harm than you would imagine!
