"...people focus on the shortcomings of other to avoid looking at themselves/breakfast out vaca over

"Minding your own business goes far beyond simply avoiding the temptation to try and solve other people's problems.
It also includes eavesdropping, gossiping, talking behind other people's backs, and analyzing or trying to figure out other people (try doing that with soap opera characters instead and wean yourself off)
one of the major reasons some people focus on the shortcomings of others is to avoid looking at themselves."

this was originally for the grads, but i like this one:

"You're here not by chance but by God's choosing, to fulfill His special purpose in your life for this generation."

we are all here for a reason and have a right to be here, just like the trees and the stars etc.

we are officially back from vacation, but not at all settled.   started straightening at this house and then headed to the other house (more mess) to straighten over there.  i feel like everyone's mother.  they always complained that  having two houses was just that much more cleaning.  with s's, if she wasn't going up there for five months of the year it wouldn't be worth having.  p's mother never complained like that, ditto with m, but they left around APRIL for their beach house and didn't return until november.  interesting how people kept their marriages together many years ago, it wasn't given a definition, just oh at the other house or in the work room, where they also fell asleep most of the time, ditto with the women and their "rooms" or houses.

the lynx that generally hisses, seems to have gotten into it and now its the manx that is dominate.  she will be up for adoption along with her kittens.  all fine as always.  bear/bean has taken over the master bathroom over there.  preferring the shelf in the bath over the couches?  i'll focus on that after next week.

the state attorney sent a letter to see if there is a case.  k says he went over to sign papers for prosecution and there is more.  shocked this is even going on.  grrrrr.  so we will see what happens next.  the grandmother already has a restraining order.  you don't choose your parents.  true.  but parents also don't choose their kids.  was very surprised by how many people that happens to.  with bda, steve always said his mother never gave her a chance, she encouraged bad/evil behavior because she thought it was amusing when bda and her cousin g were little, by the time the kids were teenagers it was a nightmare and in bda's 30's, she can only blame herself. - you are over 18 and you are choosing to act like that, choosing not to take your meds as well, she had bi-polar.   we always asked him why he bothered to be there at all and then you see him leave his  kids with his dangerous sister as a babysitter because he is "dying" to go to the track.  then he and his father head for GA meetings, and his father says, its a fever, its not his fault.  really?  and who brought him to the track as a kid?  who the hell brings a CHILD to the track and he says, you go where you go and the kid is just with you.  wth?  why do i know so many people like that.  fast lives and they laugh, but its not funny.  its sick.

the girl at the desk tells me the woman to the north of us said our tv was too loud.  possible.  the stupid fan was on constantly, it was in the hall by the kitchen and we were probably playing the tv sound over it and talking over it.  can just imagine.  if criminal minds is on i sit there saying, kill him, kill him, just shoot, i'm awful.  lol.  i curse at the tv.  we weren't even there most of the time, but some people go on vacation and they do there as they do at home, LOOK for trouble.  js said the woman was knocking on the guest room doors in our hallway, the kids know this because there is no smoking in the rooms, so you hang out in smoking areas with chairs in the outdoor corridor (what do they do in the winter?)

the sauna is working again.  yay.  nice to be back in a condo and on a higher floor.  but nice reminder that having neighbors that close is not a good idea.  its why people choose to buy acreage.   bad enough at home we have binocular woman in the building down the street.  ewwwww.  so still have more to do.

had my nails done.  waxing.  went to the hope store.  its still bad.  they claim the one west of here is much better but its over an hour away.  it used to be great a couple of years ago.  went to breakfast at the mom and pop place.  headed up north and discovered the kabobs are mostly gone.  i forgot to pull down the help yourselves sign.  whoops.  lol.   spoke to j about the car.  that one place is still the best one.  amazing how crap it is here about cars.  even north of here, they have the cheaper price, but only for cash.  no cash in full, they raise it 3000, so no savings.  so every car has two prices.  they said the average car payment is $350 per month and ditto on a lease.  i'd never lease.  like things as simple and mindless as possible thanks.

i said this to j and he says, would be even creepier if the woman in the unit north of us WAS binocular woman, like working it (i keep insisting she is a hooker, i still think that) totally gross. she was right there walking around talking in the early morning. didn\'t matter this time because i had an appointment anyway. i\'m dragging today because i was up until 4 a.m. reading no pretty faces, its an autobiography of a kid that survived the holocaust, but i had to get up a few hours later, so kind of dizzy today from lack of sleep.

oh, i got the book at the book sale. can\'t stop. i\'m rationalizing this by deciding to get rid of all books with smaller print, since i can\'t quite see it when its like that, i need the bigger size.

talked to the assistant to the assitant state attorney that we are proceeding and k already called for the same thing. its also in more than one town that alex did all this. wth? what are people BORN like this? he thinks he has bipolar and its causing him to do all this crap for the last 8 years, its a simple blood test to find that out so why isn\'t it done and they can put him on meds. he\'s also on \"prescription\" pain killers, has had staph on and off for a couple of years (how do you get that?) and hepititis c, omg! he should be on disability then and living where people on disability live. his grandmother and other relatives won\'t put up with any of it at all and k finally is done with it.
