Pending Surgery
Happy New Month. It is hard to believe that I am scheduled for surgery in just 3 days. My emotions have run the gamut from sheer terror to glee. I get a little excited when I think about possibly having some relief from this condition. It has been 3 months since I was taken off of Cabergoline. I have been exhausted, achey, puffy and at times very grouchy. I can';t hold the phone for more than a few minutes due to hands going numb. I feel really fortunate to have had this tumor diagnosed at the microadenoma stage. The galactorrhea was a clear sign of something wrong with the pituitary. All of the other signs, I thought were due to menopause and weight gain.
I hope to post soon after the surgery.

Seven weeks out from surgery and feeling better each day. My ENT and neurosurgeon did a great job and the post-op MRI was clean.
I am still struggling with some anger about some issues with sloppy treatment at the hospital but am seeing a counsellor and writing some letters to the appropriate administrators.
Overall, relieved that it\'s behind me and hopeful for a complete cure.
