Pediatric Diverticulitis?

Good Morning Everyone, hope you are well.  I was recently diagnosed with diverticulitis.  During childhood I had problems with stomach pain and right side pain. After xrays, I was diagnosed with chronic appendicitis (1950s)   Later I began having what I thought were stomach viruses, way more than anyone else I knew.  Recently I had an official attack and started cipro and felt better after three weeks.
Even though I was a little disappointed when I received my diagnosis, I am wondering if this condition has been with me since I was very young, 6 or 8 years old
I think it is a little easier to accept, believing diverticulitis has been a part of me possibly since birth.
