Peaceful Day
It be a tough measure, but I believe yesterday was the most peaceful day this farm has seen since the christening of the honey barn extraction room started in June. Baby Sis wasnae feeling well and fussed all day but somehow even that contributed to the peace. All the more reason to lay around and do nothing but rest and enjoy one another's company. Baby Sis is a serious go-getter who is normally far more interested in discovering the world than cuddling, espcially now that she is walking and almost running. The extra cuddling with her was restful for all.
Yesterday's guit-chi had a contagion effect. Even Hubs interrupted his busy busies to pull his guitar out of its case later in the day. Go Hubs. Live tones are far more soothing to my senses than the electronic tones of recorded music, whatever the music in the recording.
Big Bro is off from school this week. The next decision on the plate is whether to continue taking the girls to daycare this week. Part of me favors the family bonding of spending the week together. Another part of me worries that their adapting to school is too new to handle the interruption well. Decision making in progress. We donae need to decide that until tonight.
The gut knots are gentler today. Prayers in progress for sustainability.
I normally donae go in for New Year's Resolutions, but this year finds me nearly OCD over a resolution of, "No new plans for 2020." Cleaning up after the second half of 2019 will be plenty to keep us busy for 2020. At least, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Work on the instrumentation has only just begun, but the lyrics for this episode's therapy song seem to have found their form
Keep Me in Your Heart (modified)
by Warren Zevon
Shadows have fallen and you've run out of breath
Keep me in your heart for a while
Though you had to leave I don't believe you love me less
Keep me in your heart for a while
When I get up in the morning and see that crazy sun
I'll keep you in my heart for a while
There's a train leaving nightly called, "When all is said and done."
I'll keep you in my heart for a while
Sometimes when I am doing simple things around the house
I want to think of you and smile
I know you're tied to me like the buttons on my blouse
I'll keep you in my heart for a while
I will hold you in my thoughts
I will take you to my dreams
I will touch you when you come in to view
When the winter comes I will keep the fires lit
And feel you right next to me
Engine drivers headed north to pleasant street
Keep me in your heart for a while
These wheels keep on turning after we run out of steam
Keep me in your heart for a while
I miss you, my gentle son. Your children do, too. Thinking of you with a smile remains more goal than accomplishment, but works in progress. None of us have forgotten your compassionate sense of humor. We know you want us to smile, always.
Arfie that song is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Enjoy this peaceful day.
Bravo, standing ovations from the east. I think all the heavenly bodies are dancing to your tune today. I'll keep you all in my heart for a while, the Myster is smiling brightly in my heart as he plays beside you.
I love that Warren Zevon song and how it was modified for the occasion, arfie. I was just listening to it two weeks ago after the memorial service for my parishioner who died of the same illness I have, of chronic kidney disease. Playing it now in the background for you while typing this. "Though you had to leave I don't believe you love me less
Keep me in your heart for a while."
The words are really beautiful Arf….. I hope that today will be another peaceful day.... Big hug and a blessing....xo
Ditto to all above replies.
Hugs, love and also Ditto, Arfie!
The lyrics sum it up beautifully. Continued prayers , support, and triple hugs. I give triple ones cause hugs bring out oxytocin, and that shit does a body good~.
Sending hugs!
Sending you a morning prayer for today, arfie.
So hoping the song, hugs, and day will continue to fill your heart with peace....Prayers continue for All's Greatest Good
Arfie I like your plan for the next year "No New Year's Resolutions!" That's a plan many of us can get behind esp when the plate is already full! And a song on top of it...Amazing!
Sending you support as we enter into this holiday season, arfie, Thanksgiving to New Year's.
