Peaceful

It's a new day. I'm sitting in my in-laws' backyard in the country, listening to the wind rustle the trees & the birds singing. Since it's been hot & dry, tomatoes in the farm neighbor's field are being watered. Occasionally a mama bird feeds her babies on the ground (they were accidentally knocked out of their best). My dog sits at my feet, relaxed.
My daughter is inside, watching TV. MIL is puttering a bit inside; BIL is hanging out with her, alternating napping & watching TV. DH, FIL & son are in town, getting son's mop chopped off. So I am alone with my thoughts & it's nice.
First up: clearing out my mind from yesterday's yuckiness & enjoying the peacefulness of right now. And why am I online? Just to get all these thoughts out & to reflect. Can't do that with everyone around.
I think one thing I'm discovering is that when I get down about how someone treats me, I need to find a place to be quiet & peaceful & just stay in & absorb that peacefulness. It really balances me.
So...on to more of that...
