Peace in my soul, and a calmness of mind

Good afternoon journal, the time is 12:35pm,I am later than usual for our daily rendezvous, but exhaustion decreed that I sleep until 11:20am.I did wake at 4:10am when one of our dogs became restive, but having soothed her,I slept until 6:45am when I became aware of my wife rising, and although my intentions were to do likewise;I slipped into sleep again until 11:20am.I feel rested but still tired,a condition I have become accustomed to over the last few months,so much so,that it provokes merely a feeling of mild irritation now rather than anger at having wasted so much of my day.Yesterday was a very pleasant experience for both of us,it passed quietly, without animosity or a harsh word being spoken, before retiring together at just after midnight.I spent most of my waking hours mentally attempting to control my mood changes, the ones I recognized as about to occur were somewhat of a struggle, but manageable, the others that I failed to see happening until they were almost beyond any control, proved a more lengthy, and mentally draining, exercise.I was heartened by the moderate success I achieved,my next success will be when I can control my mind without feeling like a limp dish mop afterwards. This morning/afternoon,has begun in the same pleasant atmosphere as yesterday ended,it is extremely enjoyable to have my family around me today;and as yet,my mind is behaving itself.Because I feel so tired,I will make this a short entry, being of the opinion that my tiredness is best served by relaxation and recuperation;till tomorrow then,my mood remains good journal, may God walk with us today.

Scott, we take our victories anyway we can. What you managed today, you can manage again tomorrow, and if you fail, you still know you have the ability, which will allow you to try again. Take care, Bill
