Payback

Well it has been 21 days that I have not stepped into a casino. I have bought an occasional lottery ticket with the understanding that if it happens, it happens, if not, oh well.I feel good about myself and my wife is finally understanding that this is an illness that once it takes over, your life is going to be a battle from then on.  I have given up control of my finances since I am not in control, gambling is.  The past few months I have been suffering with pain in my neck and shoulders. I could not sleep, I have not had a good night's sleep in months.  I did not go to a doctor because I was under the assumption that this is payback for my gambling and irresponsibility. However with the abstinence from gambling, I gave in and went to  a chiropractor. It turns out I have a problem with my spine and there are abnormalities in my neck muscles leading to all my aches and pains. Since this is not covered by insurance, I have to pay cash. But since I am not gambling, I now have money to pay for this.  If I ever wanted to kick myself, this is it.I do not know exactly what happened, I guess I was looking for any and all the help I could get and it turns out my participation with this site has helped a great deal.So from the bottom of my heart I say..........THANK YOU........... to all of you who have supported me in one way or another.
